I always had a problem with hearing aids
My father had hearing aids
And my grandmother had hearing aids
And they would go like this and
They'd have the whistling sound
And my father would take them off and adjust
And all that kind of stuff
I didn't want that
Even then, my father had 2 hearing aids
He'd yell across the table
What are you doing? I can't hear ya?
And he was always constantly adjusting it
So that gave me a perception in my mind
How hearing aids had to be
And I saw the ad for Lyric
In a nation magazine
And I saw it on tv
I looked up the national dealers
And I came here and I tried it
Just to see
It really, like you said, affects the quality of life
And it did
When I went downstairs the first night
I have a theater room
And I turned my tv on preset
The volume almost blew me out of the room
Because with the Lyrics
I had it up at 8
All I needed was 2 and a half to three
It was amazing
I didn't realize how my lack of hearing affected everybody else
It's been 2 years and I can really hear
I can hear everything at nighttime, day time
It doesn't make a difference
I don't have to get up in the morning to change a battery
I don't have to do anything
I can get up in the morning
Shower, shave, like anybody else and go to work with no hearing aid
When my contract for Lyric ran out I tried
High dollar, in the canal ear, the ones you take out every night
Because I just felt as though that
I should give something else a chance
Just because I loved the Lyric doesn't mean you can't have anything else work
So I tried them
And I knew within probably 5 days
That they were not for me
My name is Nick DiGrosso
And I've had Lyric Hearing Aids
Since January 2011
