This is going to be disgusting. But we're going to do it, because who else would.
And we're going to document it from source to sea. If we don't get as sick as the river
we want to take the results to several film festivals,
so we aren't the only ones who know the difference between what this river is and what it could
be.
This trip has never been done before because it's so filthy that people are afraid to go
in it.
We're going to be in stretches where help is days away.
The rivers boundaries don't know any socioeconomic or political boundaries.
This river has the potential to be a treasure down here in Mexico.
The health directly correlates with the health of the surrounding ecosystem.
It's going to be gnarly in the sense that we're going to be running rapids with pesticides
and untreated wastewater.
Man, I got in the face...everywhere.
And I'm going to do this with AJ a
former river ranger; hopefully the efforts we do on our trip positively impact millions
of people.
And Chris Garcia a six year river guide out of Idaho and he also raft guides in South
America.
John McKinley, he's an accomplished videographer living in Guadalajara.
And myself, I'm a 6th grade environmental science teacher living in Guadalajara.
I can smell it flying into my nostrils and into my eyes, spitting at every second, it
was filthy.
