Hey guys this Trecey I wanted to come and bring the video of how I maintain my crochet
braids I jotted down a couple of questions a few questions that I seen in my messages
and comments that you wanted to know the answers to what I do and I'm here to give you that
video the first question is do I wash my hair with these braids in and the answer to that
question is no I washes and deep condition my hair before putting this in my hair and
as well I shampoo and deep condition once I take it out alot of times I don't shampoo
after I take it out alot of times I deep conditon my hair real good and then cowash after I
take it out, then maybe the next week or so is when I'll shampoo if I need to alright
because I'm pretty much still doing the curly girl method so if I don't need to shampoo
I don't I do check to see for sure alright umm I can suggest that if you are one that
want to have a "clean scalp" umm and you didn't shampoo or whatever before installing this
hair then I've always heard of dry shampoo Eventhough I can't tell you how it works or
anything because I never used it. but you can use dry shampoo it's good to use when
your hair is in style that can't get wet I would not recommend to put this hair in water
I never know anyone to do it so I'm not going to suggest anyone to do it ok? umm try dry
shampoo as well as Witch Hazel is also good for cleansing of the scalp as well I think
in some form Aloe Vera is too, but I'm not exactly sure so I'm not going to comment on
that if you like, you can do some reasearch on Aloe Vera to see if it's good for scalp
cleansing 2nd question is how did I put my ends ( my hair) up before putting in crochet
braids I usually put all ends into a ponytail and fold it real small and put a rubber band,
or hair band on it so it wont be seen, or second I can braid each hair and connect it
into a cornrow all together and then you'll have just this one braid and put it up and
as you latch in the curly hair you're latching up the braid up so it want fall down so that's
how I did it, I hope that makes sense I'll take a picture so you can see how I did it
this time, and add it to this video. the next question I got is How do I do my hair for
bed and my Morning routine I did 2 extra video to show you how I do it, take a look Hey guys
I wanna come in right quick and show you what I do with this hair to get ready for bed first
thing I do when it comes to this hair, I take it put it up out of my way like this (going
to get ponytail holder) I grab up a ponytail holder and put the hair in it like that, I'm
going to take this scarf my camera trying to go dead and put this around my edges, to
protect my edges from the bonnet I put it on like this and make it go on my edges, If
I want to use gel for my edges to lay them down, if they roughed up or whatever. this
would be the time to put it on before putting on this scarf tie in the back right now I
don't need the gel I'm just going to put on scarf to protect my edges from the cap, next
thing I get is the bonnet, it's called a "sleep cap" you can get it at your beauty supply
store for $1.99 this one is a extra large I take the cap and put over my hair and this
is it. I'm ready for bed cya 2nd clip I'm going to show you how I take this down, and
refreshen it for the next day remove my bonnet, remove the ponytail holder, and if I want
to leave this one I can but I'm taking it off in which I should have did first but either
or it don't matter ok and that's really it give my hair a shake side to side back to
front just shake and that's it and it's ready if I see I need to spray a little bit of tis
on there this is what i use to refresh my hair with it's called the Perfect REsults
3 n1 Control Wig Spray it's good for sheen, shine and conditions the hair to make it soft
and manageable and all that kinda stuff this is it, my key to it is "less manipulation
of this hair, the better off you are. It will keep and look good longer I'm going to turn
around so you can see what it look like and this is really it I don't do alot of fussing
with this hair thanks for watching ok the 5th one is How do I keep these curls curly
and neat? I stated in those clips that the less manipulation you're doing with this hair
the better off you are that is my rule of thumb all this tugging, pulling, snatching
and grabbing and trying to comb the hair uhuh.. I don't do all that I do what's in those clips
and that's it. Using a lot of products I don't do that either I uses the spray you saw in
the clips to give me the shine or whatever I need for that day and that's about it. If
it's not broke, then don't fix it that is it and I'm able to keep my hair looking like
this now if there's any frizzies, I've notice the more your hands are in your head all over
the place that's what make it frizz up then you " My hair is messing up!" But when that
happens to me, I get the scissors and cut the frizz off and that's that and that's it.
My hair mainly stays like this I haven't had to cut my hair sense I did it I'm starting
to see a little bit of frizz but nothing to worry about. I learn to ignore alot too I
shake shake shake and go. Remember the name at the top of hair pack that says " shake
and go" that's it I do that real well last question is how to control an itchy scalp?
I don't have an itchy scalp not that much to where I notice it's a problem, I can give
suggestions to help with itchness of the scalp 1. Do shampoo first before putting in the
crochet braids 2 you could be allergic to the hair if your scalp itches and you see
bumps on your hairline 3. the introduction period, when the scalp, and synthetic hair
getting use to it being on or in your head/hair when that gets on your nerves, then I think
it's more then that it's something else going on to deal with a itchy scalp take a few drops
of Rosemary Oil, and TeaTree Oil and put in your favorite oil you oil your scalp with Olive, Coconut, Grapeseed,
Almond, Castor Oil etc put in applicator bottle and put on your scalp CAUTION: if you use
Rosemary Oil, make sure you can because it's known to make some people blood pressure rise.
Check with your doctor 1st. 4 Organic Root Stimulator has an Anti Itch Scalp Oil formula
it has almond oil and aloe vera in it. No mineral oil or Petroleum. that you can purchase
not sure of price check your local beauty supply store. This bottle came in the pack
of the Oraganic Root Stimulator natural hair line trial kit I can also be good for the "Introduction Period" when you
have the tighteness of the scalp after braids been did? that feeling . As far as the shampooing
situation, I never used the dry shampoo to tell you how it works check inside of Sally's
maybe they can suggest one to you that would be good to use with this type of hair if you
just got to wash your hair I do not recommend putting this hair in any type of water, I
never did it, I don't know anyone who has. Try dry shampoo, or the Witch Hazel for scalp
cleansing. I know Apple Cider Vinegar is good for scalp cleansing but the smell of it wouldn't
be good eww!! but not sure if you can leave it in your hair, if you use it and has to
rinse out then that is where the problem is, you can't get hair wet!! I hope I answered
all the questions that you wanted answered about the maintaining of my crochet braids,
If there's anymore questions leave in comment section or message them to me. and I'll get
to them. So until the next vid, have a blessed one Keep God #1 in your Heart, Soul, and Mind.
until the next vid Bye!
