Hello Everyone, I'm Sophia for Naked Envy and words cannot describe how excited I am
right now. I guess you're wondering, "what have I been up to?", "where have I been?",
"what's going on in my life?". At the beginning of summer I broke up with my boyfriend of
pretty much 3 years, and for about 2 months I was depressed, I was anxious, I had panic
attacks pretty much every day. I mean the panic attacks would just come on and there
was nothing I could do to stop it and so I would just sit in my room and count the- literally
count the minutes as they went by and one day I just decided that that is not anything
that I want to do with my life. I realized how pathetic, and wasteful that was to just
let life slip by. I've never had experienced anything like that before. My last video that
I posted actually was a day before my birthday, and I spent some time with my family, I regrouped
myself and had a great time- we went to Disney World. But when we were in Disney, I actually
got a phone call from my mom who said that my grandmother had slipped, she had hit her
head, and she was in critical condition. She had brain surgery. She still, doesn't know
really how to walk and it's been several months now since then. So that took a huge hit on
my family, and just a week later after we got that phone call, my grandfather passed
away. The, stress that that had on my family, the affect that that had really took a toll
on everyone, and I wouldn't say that I was depressed again, but I was unmotivated to
share that with everyone and film. So then school started in September and I finally
had something to take my mind off of everything. I started my culinary classes and I was so
excited to start cooking, because that is something I've always wanted to do. I've always
wanted to be a chef and own a restaurant, and I just thought is was so exciting to work
in a kitchen, work on my knife sills and be around other people who wanted that too. But
that was also taking up a lot of my time. I was dual-enrolled in two colleges, and the
reason why I was dual-enrolled in both colleges in because the culinary program only starts
in fall, and I would graduate in December from Coastal and I didn't want to take a semester
and a summer off before I was back in school. I graduated Coastal in December, *** Laude,
with my Bachelors, and now I'm at Tech, and I'm cooking, and I absolutely love it. Right
now I'm in a bakeshop class actually and everyday we make 3 to 4 desserts for a full in-service
restaurant that we have at the college, and it's so exciting to be in a full working kitchen,
on the line, expo-ing desserts. But now, the new year has come, as cheesy it sounds, I'm
ready to start over, turn a new leaf, be more motivated to film for Youtube because it really
is a passion of mine. I don't watch tv, I watch Youtube, and I feel like I have real
friends on Youtube, even though they probably, half of them don't even know my name, but
I love waking up in the morning watching them, talking with them, was weird as that sounds,
you know, commenting on their videos, and I feel like, you know, we have a personal
connection even though we've never met in person. Youtube is really special to me, and
so that's why I want to start filming again. Samantha, we started our Youtube channels,
I think, around the same time, and she was one of the first channels that I had subscribed
too. But she was nice enough to "tag" me in a video, and I've never been tagged before,
it's pretty exciting, it's new. But I'm going to do the "All About Eyes Tag". Okay, so the
first question, What eye cream/serum do you use? I'm not really a big fan of eye creams
because I feel like they leave this sticky residue on my face, so I only apply one at
night. I've been trying the Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel. Not sure if that's how you
pronounce it. Let's focus that. It's green! It's weird! It's a lightweight eye gel, and
it's just suppose to diminish puffiness and tired eyes, and I do get puffy eyes, around
here, but I don't get dark circles, so I would say that definitely does that. Oh by the way!
I got a new camera, I got the Canon T3i. And I got a light, so I'm like... Question number
2, What is your favorite eye concealer? And I don't really have dark circles under my
eyes. Really what I just use is my foundation under my eyes and I use Makeup Forever HD
Foundation. My shade is... what is my shade?God I don't know, probably one of the palest ones
there. Oh my god, it doesn't even sa- oh! 110! It doesn't have a name, but I'm shade
110. Third question, favorite eyebrow product, my favorite question. I have naturally thick
and gorgeous eyebrows- that may sound vain, but I do love eyebrows on women. I find that
that is probably the, one of the most sexiest features about a woman is her eyebrows. I
got picked on my eyebrows a lot when I was younger, but now I'm pretty glad that I have
these gorgeous caterpillars. The only thing that I use for my eyebrows is just this really
cheap ELF gloss for my eyebrows, and I just coat it on just to keep all the hairs in place.
Number four, what is your favorite eyeshadow primer, and I only have one eyeshadow primer.
It's just the Urban Decay Eyelid Primer Potion. This is probably the only eyeshadow primer
I will ever use because it does wonders. Number five, what is your favorite eyeshadow palette?
The one that I use pretty much every day is the Naked 2. I did not buy the Naked 3, and
I probably won't buy the Naked 3, because they're pink, rosy toned, and that's not going
to look good on a pale girl with a lot of pink in her skin. I just find that these bronzy
taupe shades look the best on my eyes. Favorite eye makeup remover. Now, I'm going to recommend
a product to you that will change the way that you remove your eye makeup. This is the
Earth Science Eye Makeup Remover. It only costs $6. You can find this at Whole Foods,
and I buy mine at Fresh Market. You only need a pea sized amount on the tips of your fingers
and then you just rub when you wash your face at night. And it really does remove every
trace of mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, you name it. If you need a new eye makeup remover,
definitely give this a try. Okay, your favorite mascara. I use two, religiously. I use Benefit's
They're Real for my top. Battery's dying, great. I just feel that it gives a really
nice, clean, lengthy, and just a lot of separation. The Clinique Lashing Doubling mascara on my
bottom lashes and this just adds just a little bit of fullness on that bottom set of lashes
because you don't want to over do it. I use these two together. Your favorite eyeliner?
I don't use one. I use a shadow just to smoke out my bottom lashes in the corners instead,
and I use the Naked Basics palette and I use the color "Faint", which is that darker brown
color right there. Just to give my bottom lashes, just a little bit more smokiness.
I'm wearing it today. But I find that eyeliner really makes me look like a raccoon, either
that or I don't know how to apply it. So I just stay away from eyeliner. Favorite single
eyeshadow? Like I said before, I just use the Naked 2 palette, so all the shadows in
here are my favorite, I don't have a single. And last question, your favorite pair of sunglasses.
I have a couple, and when I watched Sam's video I almost laughed to myself because her
favorite and mine are almost the same. These are the Le Specs sunglasses, they have this
greenish- they're a little dirty- but they have this greenish tint to them. If you can
see that, it's kind metallic and I think that's awesome. I have my House of Harlow's, I got
these off Nasty Gal for dirt cheap, and they're like a hundred dollar pair of sunglasses.
So I love these. And these babies, my Boeing Carrera sunglasses I got off of Urban Outfitters
for $25! And these are like $400 sunglasses! And I think they're from the 80s or something,
but I love these and I will never part with these babies. If you have an Instagram follow
me, my username is @sophiapinkas , but until next time, I'll see you then. Bye! I forgot
to tag people! So I tag my sister, my little sister, Isabella, her Youtube channel is "CraftingCraze"
