Kiersten F: Bistro Kids took advantage of the health care tax credit and it was very
important to us.
It helped us provide insurance and benefits to our chefs and to our employees.

Kiersten F: I founded Bistro Kids 7 years ago and the reason I did so was because I
saw what my son was eating for lunch-which was not healthy food and I knew we needed
to make a change.
The mission of Bistro Kids is to provide locally sourced, organic all natural foods
to as many students as possible.
Everything we make is from scratch.
Nothing is processed.
Of course the food is healthy but also has to taste good otherwise they’re not gonna
eat it.
So it’s not that we’re using strange foods;
it’s still pizza or it's still macaroni and cheese-it’s just the ingredients
used to make those products are healthy and locally sourced.

Kiersten F: We talked to our chefs and employees and asked ‘what’s something that you would
like from Bistro Kids?'
And one of things that kept coming up was insurance and the tax care credit made
that something that we could then do.
Everybody wants to have the best employees that they can have. Our chefs are phenomenal,
the best in the industry and because of the health care tax credit we’re able to offer
them benefits that they might not be able to get somewhere else.
So for us the small business tax credit means being able to take care of
our chefs and our employees so that they can take care of our clients.

Kiersten F: The health care law is about people like me.
It’s Kiersten care.
