So how do you find out if the Library owns a book that you're looking for. Google certainly
provides you with options
for buying A book
from Amazon or online, but that can be very expensive so what I'm going to do
is i'm going to see if the Library owns this book. I'm copying down the title of the
book.
Then I'm going to the Library home page,
clicking on find books
and here in the Library catalog, which is a database of
what we have in our collection, I'm going to click on Title
and then paste the title in and then click search.
This is only a search of LaGuardia's collection. If we didn't have to book I
would expand the search to all CUNY libraries, but for now I'll leave it on
LaGuardia and hit search.
And this is coming up here: Higher Education and Civic Engagement. I click on
it
and it says Electronic Resource. This means that this is an ebook which
means it's available to view online.
So I click on CUNY
and then
access for LaGuardia or CUNY users and then I can look at the ebook
online.
