The company culture at Johnson Controls is very unique
it's very family oriented, they definitely give you
the flexibility you need to establish an appropriate
work life balance, and that's what I see
as one of the key attractions for Johnson Controls.
I enjoy working for Johnson Controls because it's more so
not a department. It's not a cultural department. It's not a
diversity department. It's the culture of the organization so when
you walk in the door to a culture of an organization like that you feel comfortable
about where you are, what you're, what you're doing and what you can
accomplish because, it's not a department, it's not
a thing that we do or we celebrate or we practice once a year
it's livin', driven daily.
It's a fortune 100 company and a very large company and a global company
they still seem to have that you know the
the priority around making sure that their employees keep
a good family balance with work. The organizational
structure at Johnson Controls is, I would say
it's very team based, it's very collaborative, but at the same
there are opportunities for
for cross functional development and we're starting to see
that even more now in the way in which we're structured. It's probably
typical of a global company you know there's a hierarchy
and a chain of command if you will within
the company. You may have multiple bosses, multiple people that
you need to report out information to, but at the same time there is
still direct line, it is still structured similar
to the military, you know who you report to you know who your boss reports to
et cetera all the way to the top. The military structure
and the way that a corporation is structured is very similar where you have you know kind of
you have your privates and your lower level enlisted people out there actually doing
the transactional type work, where as in the corporate level you have the same
kind of thing, you have those, those transactional type people that are out
there actually doing the day to day operations and then you take that next step up
and you get into the non-commissioned officer level where you have the people managing those
lower enlisted people and same thing on the corporate side then you move to
that manager level where you have them managing the people that are doing the transactional processes
and then you get into the strategic roles which would be like an officer level in the military
and then you have the strategy people on this side as well who are
telling those managers what their goals are and what they should be trying to strive those lower
those transactional type people, what they should be doing. You know who your manager is
you understand a chain of command so again it's
it's not an issue. I think it's great. Thanks for checking out
