[Jai Radha:] >> Hello everyone and welcome to this week's Pillai Center Hangout. Today
we are talking about one of my favorite topics and that's The Goddess because we are still
inside Navaratri, the Nine Sacred Nights of The Goddess. This time will go through next
Sunday depending on the time zone where you are. And it is the most spectacular, most
powerful time for you to connect with The Mother Goddess. And she comes to the earth
plane in her fierce form. Today we mentioned that we would talk a bit about what that means
and I have a special guest here today, Meena Mulloy, who joins us from India. Thank-you
for coming on, Meena. [Meena:] >> Thank-you. I'm happy to be here.
[Jai Radha:] >> What we're going to talk about today is a little bit about DR. Pillai's teachings
around the Goddess and how unique and powerful they are and then some personal experiences.
So Meena, thanks again. I know you've been studying spirituality for many years and have
studied with different teachers. Why Dr. Pillai and what is his connection with The Goddess
that drew you to the teachings. [Meena:] >> I think that when I first met
Dr. Pillai, I knew my goal in life was really enlightenment, service and enlightenment.
And that was really important to me. So I met a lot of teachers and some advanced yogis
at that time when I met Dr. Pillai. And deep down I could feel that they did not really
take women to enlightenment to heart or seriously, as serious as say the male counterparts. And
even though Dr. Pillai didn't talk about it when I first met him, so I didn't know where
he stood about The Goddess, but at a very deep soul level I knew he supported women's
enlightenment. Just in watching his actions and seeing how he treated everyone, and there
was a support of The Goddess. And shortly after I started taking some programs and studies,
Navaratri came up. This was probably 14 years ago, I was blown away. The experience was
so high and I felt The Goddess and I knew she was present and that connected me to what
I didn't have words for prior. But my background or lineage, I would say, I feel has been very
Goddess oriented. So I just feel like I came home to my true study and I don't know anyone
who brings the Goddess forward like DR. Pillai. [Jai Radha:] >> Yeah! I definitely agree with
you in that sense and it wasn't until you and I spoke about this that I found out that
we had both studied with the same teacher prior to Dr. Pillai. There were several teachers
around that we could have studied with and it was what the two teachers that really stood
for --not just that it's ok for women to be enlightened and that it's ok for women to
do that too, but that's a priority. So to me what strikes me so uniquely about Dr. Pillai
is that it's a priority for him. It's a deep passion and he knows and has said very few
and far between, because he doesn't say these things very often, but when he does, it's
so poignant. And he has said it's the Goddess, it's the female energy that will rule the
Golden Age. And it's only through that love and compassion,
that fierce protection that we as a humanity and earth can move into a place of peace and
prosperity for all. Because it's only the female energy, the Goddess energy, that will
bring us to that capacity in our humanity and our being and it's not the male energy
that is going to do that. So he's not just passively saying that this is a good thing
to support, but more so that it's the thing that will move all of us into a new place.
And it's our obligation or opportunity as to how we each support that energy.
To me I feel like each one of us, man or woman, it doesn't matter where you're from or what
your beliefs are, just to support that feminine energy in any way we possibly can. And it
could be worshipping The Goddess in some way in her fearful form, doing pujas to her, any
type of worship you would want to do from a religious stand point. And it happens in
the Christian churches, to Egyptian temples, to Hinduism that the Divine feminine is in
fact worshipped. But then we have the opportunity also to honor each woman as a Goddess and
that's equally as important. And Dr. Pillai has said that every woman is a Goddess. So
that energy that we all carry around is that Divine feminine. And women and men should
be honoring that and supporting that in the women that we know. And I know that you have
an example of that with your mother, right. Can you tell us a little bit about that?
[Meena: ]>> Just to give you a little background, I come from a family of 15, so there's 11
girls and 4 boys. I know it's a lot. My mother just loved babies. Really, it didn't matter
if it was a puppy, or a kitten or a bird, or whatever, there was always this love for
the young. And her desire for children was quite strong. And it's funny if you would
meet her. She's a reserved intellectual. She loves to read and be quiet. But her desire
for children was very strong. And recently she said, your father put up
with me wanting all those babies. And she never admitted it before that it was all her
desire. But I see it. It was The Goddess. And when I was a child I felt that love. It
was such a beautiful, unconditional love. And I remember so many times dancing around
my house. Just dancing in pure joy and love and happiness for having this mother because
it was The Mother Goddess who was raising me. And it was confirmed later. I had a very
powerful spiritual experience and the teacher that you referred to before, Rama, that we
both studied with, came to me in a dream. It was one of those waking dreams and he introduced
me to The Mother Goddess and I said that's my mother, that's really my mother. And he
said yes, that's why the strong love is there. And really, I was telling you too, she was
a beautiful woman in her youth. But really her Light has grown so much over time that
even close to 90, she out shines the most beautiful young person in the picture because
the Light is so bright, and she has such a beauty and that's The Goddess.
And she was fierce too. If anyone came around that had ill intent, she could sniff it out
like a hound dog. It was very powerful. So when we have these Nine Nights of The Goddess
in their wrathful forms, I feel it's the mother protecting. That was my experience with The
Goddess. So I didn't understand all of this, really the depth of it until studying with
Dr. Pillai. Although the early teachings with our previous teacher were very much about
learning to be strong as a female, making it in the business world, knowing how to be
self reliant, and not accepting a weak prototype or self image. So he really combated some
of that conditioning. But it's been with Dr. Pillai that I've learned
the depth and how we honor The Goddess in each other in so many different facets. In
ways, it's a rich tapestry, really it's beautiful the different feminine energies. And the men,
I see everyone that grows in The Goddess. When a man grows in The Goddess, he becomes
more beautiful, he becomes more artistic, creative, happier. You know, everyone who
starts touching that Goddess energy, the blossoming is just so obvious. When you see it over and
over again, because we've been around for these years. And I just love that.
[Jai Radha:] >>: Yeah! Definitely. And I think it's important for people to understand too
that the direct relationship between the mother and The Goddess. Like you said, that you've
gotten so vividly. But most people don't see their mother as this Divine being to give
honor and worship because a lot of times we have mom issues. But I think it's important
for us to remember especially during this time the rest of this week we have the opportunity
to connect with our moms, our birth moms and do that honoring and give them that worship
in a sense that would be what they deserve. So maybe you would want to send your mom flowers
or give her a call and if she's deceased or living and make that connection with her,
if there's anything to heal or forgive between you and to do that now. This is the time for
that energy to be more present and to take an opportunity to do that.
[Meena:] >> I agree. This is probably where they should have put Mother's Day too- Nine
Days of Mother's Day. The mother's 'Blessings' are really powerful in a person's life and
getting those 'Blessings' is The Goddess 'Blessing' you. Over the years, especially in my 20's
and 30's, whenever I would be going through something, I remember I would call my mom
and tell her about it. Inevitably she would say, I'm going to pray for you. I could always
feel the power of her prayer and how the situation would turn around. And I told her that and
she would say ' Oh, I just pray'. Your own mother's prayer is really powerful.
[Jai Radha:] >> Yeah! And so are other person's, so be good. Thank-you for saying that. I think
it's a really good reminder of the physical mother and the Divine Mother and also the
fierceness around that energy. So we were talking a little bit about the wrathful Goddess
and sometimes they are pictured with blood and skulls and it can appear scary. But if
you even associate that with your own mother in terms of how that protection and wrathfulness
comes out when a mother is protecting a child. And look at an animal. You have the loving
nurturing mother animal that as soon as someone comes near that cub or threatens the offspring
in any way, that that becomes a very fierce being. So that's the way we can think about
the fierce Goddess. That she's here to protect us and only provide our absolute best needs,
our highest good and any blood that may come out of that is for everyone's own benefit.
[Meena:] >> Right! So this is the perfect time to be offering anything that feels negative
in our lives or situations that don't seem to leave us or people that are negative in
our lives or anything like that, she can really come in and clear it up. It was amazing the
first day of Navaratri how you could feel how everything just started to pop and sparkle.
The clean- up, it started immediately. [Jai Radha:] >> Yeah! Yeah, it really did.
And people have been asking what can they do during Navaratri. And there are the first
three nights dedicated to Durga and the next three nights are dedicated to Lakshmi, and
the final three nights are dedicated to Saraswati. So what you can do at home is chant 'OM DHUM
DURGAYAI NAMAHA' or 'KLEEM' for those three nights and print out a picture of her and
make a connection with her. Next three nights, same thing for Lakshmi. Print out a picture
of her or doing some sort of honoring and using 'SHREEM' and then the final three nights
'AIM' for Saraswati. Now if you don't remember all of this, just join my free calls because
they happen on the first night of each of the three nights.
So if you go to Pillai Center.com there should be a banner up there, just click on the banner
and receive your audio down loads for the mantras and then the next call. You can listen
to the recording for Durga and then you can join the live call on Monday night 6:30 pm
PDT and I'll do the same sort of guided meditation and connection with Lakshmi. And then I'll
do the same thing on Oct 10th, evening 6:30 pm PDT. So that's a way for everyone, if you
don't have any money to participate and take advantage of this time. We really want to
provide these services, or we are providing these services, so that people can have this
maximum opportunity to connect with The Goddesses. Because it's not just for you. It's not just
for us. It's for everyone. The more we each embody this Goddess energy and honor this
Goddess energy, in others , the more The Goddess can prevail on earth and the more power that
comes into each of us. The more power that moves us into the realm of compassion, of
love, and grace, and of course into the Golden Age. So it's a very generous thing to do to
participate in this as well. So any concluding remarks Meena?
[Meena:] >> As you were talking, it's so true during this time, this is the answer to peace
on earth is to bringing The Goddess in. And the more we all connect. And Dr. Pillai is
bringing them right to us. As we connect to the sounds, he's bringing them fully alive
here. With us doing our practice and connecting to the Goddess, she come's inside of us, she
becomes active, and really spread the Goddess energy . The dark age has been from the lack
of The Goddess. And as she blossoms and is rooted, it just makes the entire earth a better
place. We know when the Goddess is there there's so much happiness and joy.
[Jai Radha:] >> Absolutely. Thank-you Meena. Thank-you for your joy and happiness and 'Blessing'
us on this Hangout. And please give our love to your mom. And we hope that everyone has
enough equipment now to go through and follow through and make the most of the rest of this
celebratory time. And if you have any questions just write to us at office@pillaicenter.com.
So we'll see you next week as we continue to have another Hangout for the final night
of Navaratri. Namaste'! [Meena:] >> Thank-you Jai Radha!
Jai Radha: Thank-you!
