This is an absolutely vicious beating that took place in New York early on Sunday morning.
It shows an off duty NYPD sergeant being savagely beaten up outside the St. John's express restaurant
and bar in Queens. Mohammed Dean the officer being beaten up was left in such a bad way
that he had to be put into a medically induced coma. He's now in a critical but stable condition
in hospital. His attacker repeatedly punches him in the head while he's lying unconscious
on the floor, picks up his limp body and slams it into the tarmac. At one point he also tries
to smash a car window because the officers wife was sitting inside. The two had had an
argument that started at a night club a mile from this incident and had continued outside
the restaurant before the assault. A 29-year-old man named as Hayden Holder has been arrested
and charged with a felony assault. Holder's reportedly admitted to the assault but said
that he had no idea that Dean was a police officer.
