Howdy folks hows it going welcome to my *** kitchen today i'm showing you how to make
macarons .... sort of. They look amazing right and it's a little
bit of a funny story there's none actually left basically I filmed the recipe and did
my talky bit earlier and then I had to go and see Phoebe in Her Nativity play so I was
in a bit of a rush and when I got back I realised that I had lost my files. I got the cooking
bit still but the talky bit which I was happy with, has gone. So i'm just gonna tell you
how we do the recipe if you want to have a go hit pause on the video now write them all
down let's just get on and do it. Sift your icing sugar and ground almonds into
a bowl and mix well together until fully combined once that's done in a separate bowl whisk
up your egg whites and salt gradually adding your sugar until they are nice and thick and
glossy. When your two bowls are ready in the words
of the spice girls let 2 become 1 and mix them together getting it all nice and combined
in there until it's one big mixture now get that into your piping instrument of choice
i've got used to these really cool squishy things right now but a piping bag will do.
Pipe your mixture into circles on a lined baking tray I started off with small circles
initially then gained the confidence to do slightly bigger ones although they were a
little out of line i'll deal with that whack it in the oven for 6 minutes then spin it
around halfway though until they are nice and firm.
Whilst they are in the oven you can make the filling now there's two way you can do this
one you can just use nutella and spread it on which is a lot easier but if you've got
the time to wait you can make an amazing nutella filling ok so get some nutella in a bowl add
some chocolate chunks on top pour over some simmered cream that you've warmed in a pan
and just work it through, stir it all together looks amazing and trust me if you can wait
it's worth it. Turn one macaron half upside down then pipe
your filling on there let it settle before putting a lid on and squeezing it all together.
Unfortunately that is all the footage i've got normally now i'd be like 'here's my macaron'
nom nom nom nom and it did taste amazing you're gonna have to trust me of course you can ***
it up add food colouring the paste not the gel or liquid in there as that effects the
consistency of the whites put jam and buttercream in the filling mix it up have a go there's
so many different ways you can do it but that is it my friends if you enjoyed this video
hopefully you did don't forget to give it a thumbs up share subscribe and comment but
that my friends is how you make nutella macarons.... yeah.
