Hi, My name's Steve from Supreme Cleaning Services and we carry out err end of tenancy
Cleaning in London and the South East and Kent...erm, one of the jobs we have to do,
err during our end of tenancy cleaning, is oven cleaning. As you can see this is a typical
oven, stainless steel oven that you might find in your own home. It has burnt on grease,
carbon and is typically a job that people hate to do, but I am going to show you a quick,
easy and professional way of achieving a good professional clean oven.
We are only going to use products that you can buy in your local supermarket or hardware
store. This is a a window scraper; it's got a Stanley Blade and a safety handle. These
are micro-fibre cloths. These are metal scourers. This is an all-purpose cleaner. This is an
oven cleaner and you may, may find a knife or a err blade useful. Right, the first part
of the process is to turn the oven on for about five minutes to let the racks heat up
and soften the carbon deposits. OK. Right, the oven's been on for about five minutes
or so now, so we are gonna turn it off, we are gonna turn the electric off which in this
instance is in here somewhere. Right these racks are obviously gonna be warm,
use a cloth to take them out. The side racks come out. OK, I'm gonna use a window scraper to scrape on any excess burnt-on carbon.
The more you scrape out this, the better the oven cleaner will work. You literally just
rub it along the bottom of the oven. Do the oven door as well.
Now we will spray the oven cleaner on to the err, on to the warm racks, quite liberally,
being careful not to, to get any on the stainless steel, because as I say it's corrosive and
you can damage the err the stainless steel. OK, now I'm gonna spray inside the oven erm,
being care...not...not..this particular oven's got self-cleaning sides and back, so you don't
wanna get any oven cleaner on that, just on the base. Also on the door. You wanna spread
it around a bit with a cloth. Always leave the chemical to do the work, it always takes
the hard-graft away from you. Right, the next stage is to clean these metal
racks. As you can see I have filled the err sink up with err warm water with washing-up
liquid and place the rack in to the water. As you can see, a lot of the carbon has already
come off. OK, now we've cleaned the metal racks, nice and shiny and clean. It's now
time to clean the actual oven itself. Again you're gonna use hot soapy water in this bucket.
You're gonna use one of these, this metal..err this window scraper, Stanley Blade again and
this metal scourer. Right we're gonna scrape off any err stubborn deposits on the base
of the oven, making you get right in to the corners, backs, sides. Now we're gonna clean
the glass oven door. You don't have to rub this too vigorously. Err the deposits come
off quite easily off of glass, so just make sure you go all around the edges and in the
middle. Right, we're now gonna use a screw-driver, just to get in to the err awkward places that
you can't get in to with your hands. So we're gonna wet the cloth, ring it out, clip over
the end, end of the screw-drive. This rubber seal, if you just run it along, nice and gently.
So now we will use this all-purpose cleaner just to give it all a final clean and make
sure there's no residue left from the oven cleaner which would create fumes when you
turn the oven on. We'll just gonna spray in there and the glass as well. Bring it off
to a nice clean shine. Inside here, all round the edges and the back and now the oven is
ready to be put back together again. Panels go in first, then we put the trays
back in. Now we have a nice clean professionally cleaned oven. Hope you found this useful.

Right, as soon as you've spilt some wine on your carpet, you need to act quickly and not
rub it in to the carpet. You need to absorb the stain in to kitchen roll.
