Hi! This is Eric with Globe Runner Search Engine Optimization. Welcome to our video
series! What we are going to talk about today is our culture of link building, how to integrate
link building into your everyday business activities. So, this is about getting your
whole team involved in the SEO process to really boost your rankings. One of the first
things that you need to do is just make sure you have your keyword list organized. Make
a list; write down the keywords that are associated with different pages on your site and send
them out to your whole team. That way, everyone who is adding content to your site can know
which pages they need to link to, using which words. So, when writing a blog post and using
a keyword, they are using that keyword as a link to the pages inside your site that
you want to promote for that concept. The next thing you’d want to do is to get everyone
involved in social media. Make sure that everyone has a LinkedIn account, and on their LinkedIn
profile, they put a link to your company website. To change that anchor text, just scroll down,
select “other,” and then you can type in the company name or a keyword that you’d
like to link instead of saying “my company.” It will then say the exact company name that
you have. If everyone on your team does that, that’s however many free links; if you have
100 employees, that’s 100 free links. The last thing to do, get everyone involved in
the bookmarking services like Delicious, Digg, Reddit, and Stumbleupon. If you get them to
start bookmarking your company website and other websites that are linking to you, that’s
going to build up the value of your site and push you up in the search engines. It’s
all about little things you can do, and getting your whole team involved in the operation
of link building. So, Thanks, I’m glad we got the chance to talk about corporate cultures
of link building, my name was Eric and I’m with Globe Runner Search Engine Optimization.
