Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. And today, you're going to learn how to start
a fire with friction. Looks like here is another piece of wood so I'm going to find a soft
place here and we're going to cut a hole into the base, into here for a receptacle. That
wood might be nice, actually for our kindling.
Now we have another stick because that first one didn't work out exactly like we had planned.
So now we're going to, again, relieve pressure on the bow, wrap the spindle around one time.
Place the spindle into the bowl, hold the top with a bearing and we're going to try
it again. See, it's supposed to be going both directions. This is going to shred our string.
So there's a reason it's not going both directions.
