The final trick we are going to learn
is called is called ‘The finger pass’.
The finger pass is a trick we use to
pass the pen from one slot to another.
When people refer to the finger pass
it’s normally termed
‘many passes connected’.
To start the finger pass
you should find the centre of your pen,
place the centre of the pen
between your index and middle fingers.
Unlike ‘The charge’,
which is a circular motion,
‘The finger pass’ uses a side to side motion.
This is easier than ‘The charge motion’
and you should be able to do it already,
if not then practise turning
the pen left to right, like so.
When you are comfortable with this
you should have your palm facing you
and lower your ring and pinky finger,
then do this motion
by moving your index finger back
and your middle finger forward to move it.
When it comes to the side of the hand
with the fingers bent down,
you should lift the first finger up
so you catch it between ring and middle fingers.
Lower your index finger, then continue,
raise your pinky finger
and lower your middle finger.
Now this is a harder part,
when the pen
is between your pinky and ring fingers,
the middle
and index fingers should be bent down.
When you have passed it between your ring
and pinky finger
you must turn your hand over
and then continue the finger pass up
in the direction of your middle and index fingers.
Lets recap.
You should do the side to side motion,
have your ring and pinky fingers bent down
and then pass it.
As it comes round raise your ring finger,
lower your index finger, continue,
lowering your middle
and raising your pinky finger,
now turn your hand over
……..raise your middle
and lower your pinky finger
……..raise your index and lower your ring finger
You should keep practising
until you can do it very quickly,
don’t worry if it’s slightly jolty to begin with,
you will soon get the hang of it.
