To add a blog, simply hover over the posts menu item in the left hand tool bar and click
on add new. This will open a new post window
Now you can drop in your post title Now you want copy and paste content of your
post. This is a WordPress Plugin called Tinymce,
this gives you much of the same functionality as Word
There are 2 button here that you can paste from, you have paste as Plain text or
paste from Word, my preference is Paste as plain text, so clicking on that button
will open a new box, and the instruction at the top od the box says Use Control + V
to paste your text into the window. Once youve copied your document, hit control
V which paste the copy into the window And click insert.
There it isnow on the page. If you want to see how it looks, hit the preview
button which opens the Post in a new window, and that is the way to add a new post to you
WordPress Site. Now were ready to add the images we want.
I want to add an image here, I make a space and click the Insert Media Button, Ive
already uploaded the images I want to use on the page.
Select the image and hit Insert into post and thats going to arrive there.
As I work down the page I want to add a link to YouTubes Terms and Conditions
I want to copy this Highlight the link text
Click on the Add a Link button Hit Control V to paste the address
We want the link to open in a new window and add the link.
Just a quick tidy of the page And its time to hit the preview button
here, again opening a new window and shows us how
our new post is starting to take shape. Theres the top image in place and the new
link to YouTube is working nicely. Exactly what you want
Ill close that window And go back to edit this post
Now I want to make this link live, I just copy the address and make that a link
Then the same thing with the link below. Control V is a well-used short cut
Open in a new window Add the link
I want to add a new image to demonstrate where the reader will go to when they click on the
link. So in the media Gallery, select your image
and insert into post That looks all good
Now add in the final image Which is there
Now I want to save my work, I click save draft
Now I want to preview the post, And there you have it
The links are all live, The images are in the right place
The last thing is to make the Post live Go and click Edit Post
Hit publish and look at the home page of your website
Scroll down to the bottom And there is the post you have just published
Click on the link and see your work as any site visitor would.
