So, What does Mercury One do? So Mercury One is a nonprofit organization located in Dallas,
Texas, and we support other faith-based, nonprofit organizations throughout the country. We do
things with disaster relief, we help with military. Most recently we actually raised
funds to help with the Boston Explosion that happened at the Boston Marathon. We've also
helped send disaster relief supplies for Hurricane Sandy and other local faith-based groups such
as the SoupMobile and lots of other groups. How long have you been with Mercury One? I've
been here with Mercury One since the inception, about the beginning of 2012, January. And
you're the Chief Executive, or like... Executive Director, yeah. So, what have been Mercury
One's past projects? Which, which project are you talking about? No, like, what have
been the past projects? The past projects? Uhh, a couple that I mentioned. One of them
we're doing right now is we're working on getting relief supplies over to, after the
West Texas Explosion at the, the fertilizer plant that exploded. We're actually working
with some of the groups such as the SoupMobile and others that are moving supplies down there.
We started a fundraiser for that, but now we're moving those funds and resources into
those areas to help with the affected victims. Is there like a specific, like, type of disaster,
or a specific disaster relief (unintelligible) We do, we do both, actually. Our mission statement
is to improve, to mobilize to improve the human condition with malice towards none and
charity for all. So, as you can tell by that, it's very broad, and we try to do good in,
in many ways, whether it's through disaster relief or whether it's through feeding the
hungry. It's really, we just rely on, you know, our volunteers, and also our partner
organizations to, to get those things done. So like, uhh, (unintelligible), we talked
about like, you support like, faith-based, why is it that you choose to support like,
strictly faith-based, uhh, like, is there a reason why it's a strictly faith-based organization,
is there a reason for that? Yeah, and it's primarily faith-based, it's not strictly,
uhh, but we do choose those just because we feel like they, they know their communities
the best, and they know the people, they know the needs, and they're able to respond very
quickly. And so, that's why we choose to work with a lot of them. So will Mercury One not
be, uhh, getting any profit from the fundraiser today? From the fundraiser today? Yeah. Yes,
this is, this is one of our, one of our partnerships that we've partnered with the race company
so that Mercury One will generate revenues through this effort. So like, how much, approximately,
is this like, is this one of your bigger ones, or is it... You know, we, we just, we have
kind of smaller ones throughout the year, and this is one of those smaller ones. So
uhh, we went on the website, and there was Glenn Beck, is he related with this, is he
related with Mercury One at all? Yeah, so Glenn Beck is the, is not involved directly,
he's not uhh, he is not legally involved or anything, but he's our biggest advocate, he's
our biggest supporter. He'll go on the radio and talk about the things that we do, ahm,
and uh, yeah so he's, he's very involved that way, as a supporter. So, he doesn't profit
from this? No, he doesn't profit at all. Oh, okay. That seems to be all we have, thank
you for your time. Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Thanks.
