what we have here is a chloride injection system
that would come up with in the past
we had a
chloride tank that's
on the stand in the air gavity feed
we had to get on a cat walk
to top load a truck
with chloride
and remove the tanks to the ground to get them containment
we wanted to come up with a way to do everything from the ground to be safer
so we plumbed the system
on our trucks so we could run our pump hook it up right here lock it on
turn our valves on turn on the pump it would
pump the chloride up there's a pipe running down the center beam
of the sander here with holes coming out each direction so after the trucks been
loaded with salt
we hook it all up then
inject the chloride into the top of the load
while doing it all from the ground
we calibrated it
with water
far as time to the gallons and we determined it for our truck anyway in
our application
just takes about one minute
to get the proper amount of chloride on this size, a big truck
in about thirty seconds on a small truck
uh so very
save us a lot of time as well
then again
on the ground to do it all
after it's done shut the valves off
open it backup
put the cap on
ready to go
we also have a
uh... adapture put on here
where we can fill our saddle tanks
on the side of the truck we're still use those some too
and you can do all that from the ground
and then as a bonus
when we get done
pull in our wash bay can hook our water line to the same system open it up
and flush the sander out to clean in just
very short amount of time without
climbing on the truck
or anything dangerous like that
