Past 3 o'clock in the morning, the night sky is cerulean
A can of coffee in my left hand
I lie in the middle of the road counting the stars
The small twinkling stars beside the stars with dazzling lights
I won't forget to count you!
Surely you will be able to grow large!
That's right, in the same way, someone is watching over me
No matter how small the light
It shines onto this wide earth without end
Even if the light is faint
It believes in the significance of this existence
And so it shines again today
No matter how much time passes
This steadfast light will not disappear
Before 4 o'clock in the morning, the air is tense
Beyond my scarf, my sigh turns white
The light is yellow, but my life cannot stop
If I assume that the frail you is thinking about that girl next door
Is that yearning, or is it envy
Or could it be jealousy?
If I can be satisfied
That would be fine, I thought, but...
I want to shine brighter than anyone else
However, I won't reach there
Trapped within such restrictions
Even if the light is endless
Because its burdened thoughts differ day after day
If this light ends, then let it end
What will happen to the light that pauses for even a moment?
Please answer it for me!
The dawn breaks, and everything fades from sight
The world begins to turn
The air starts to tremble with the songs of the birds
I am being left behind
Nobody will even wait for me.
Now then, let's walk.
Even if the light is faint
It believes in the significance of this existence
And so it shines again today
No matter how much time passes
This will not disappear
I will protect it to the end
From now on, and always.
