A piece of advice, from Dory to lonely people.
"It is the Ocean, we cannot be alone".
#JUST5MORE
Hello! Dude!
Good morning! I would like to welcome you on Monday.
Another fantastic day of #JUST5MORE.
I don't know if you watched but I hope you did.
Because it is an absolutely amazing cartoon.
And by the way, I didn't get 100 million for this.
But it is a fantastic film, it's "Finding Nemo".
If you didn't watch it, I highly recommend it.
- Hi! - Wanna faster?
- But don't puke on my primer, it's brand new.
- Look it's a bird!" - Not only a bird, it's a pelican!"
- Watch out!" - Hold on!"
If you watched, you know that the main character of "Finding Nemo"
is the clownfish. A very nice, probably red-and-white fish.
Very colourful, very shy in the film, with some problems etc.
Today, a fun fact about a clownfish.
A clownfish has a very nice official name: Amphiprion.
A clownfish is a really interesting fish. Unfortunately it wasn't shown in the film.
It has this one amazing feature. It belongs to a really rare species.
What I wanted to say is that a clownfish lives
amongst coral reefs, as an easy target for unfriendly animals.
Something like "water gangsters".
Clownfish is so colourful and you can easily spot him
so when such a water bully sees him it catches it and eats immediately.
So our poor clownfish, it's a really tiny fish,
had to figure out a way to defend itself. And, it is a masterpiece.
It discovered that on the coral reef there are...
I wanted to say "coelenterates". Not coelenterates but sea anemones.
Sea anemones, such plants. Well, not plants, but such things
which look somewhat like plants.
It has such tentacles, and when a fish touches it,
it's dazzled, maybe not by electricity, but it's a nervous shock.
A fish goes numb and the sea anemone sucks it inside,
and later on eats it.
And a clownfish thought that it can use it.
It is so clever that it swims among those tentacles,
and the bully who is following it falls into the tentacles itself,
and goes numb, while a clownfish is safe and laughs out loud.
What is more interesting is that scientists try to figure out
how does it happen that clownfish is not affected by sea anemones.
There are two theories.
One, less popular, says that a clownfish produces mucus around itself,
and it gives it a protective layer.
So it is insulated. It covered itself with insulating tape.
But the second, more popular, theory says that for a long time
clownfish allows sea anemones to "electrocute" it at low doses.
It swims close to sea anemones, touches them gently to feel this reaction
and learns how to accept this shock.
Gradually, its organism becomes resistant to this shock.
Later, it swims inot sea anemones and just thinks:
"OK, you can do it because I'm resistant to it".
So it learnt how to take advantage of the sea anemone.
The little guy uses his older friend, in fact without his consent.
A little fish exploits the anemone and hids behind its leaves or whatever.
I think that it must be a genius as it came up with something like that.
A spiritual truth. I think it is clear enough.
There are some realities in our life,
and be careful, I'm not talking about sin.
But there some circumstances in our life, which appear hostile to us.
They seem to destroy us.
They seem difficult, unfavourable, hostile, scary and so on.
Now, you can use some of them to defend yourself.
These are moments when you feel
that you have some traits you don't like
but if you treat them right, tactically, these flaws can became your allies.
Maybe, for example, a stupid example, if you are very shy,
and do not like public performances, you are afraid to be in front of people,
you are afraid of being laughed at, maybe you cannot behave properly.
One strategy is to try, of course not in front of an audience of 60,000,
with all that people staring at you,
as you, frightened to death, would probably wet yourself. No.
But start from little things, small groups where you present your opinion
So you have to touch that sea anemone, which seems to be your enemy.
Carefully touch your fear.
Of course, you will feel some shock, and you will be scared.
But if you increase amount of your fear, eventually it can become your ally.
Firstly, you will overcome your fear.
Secondly, you can use it to something good.
By the way, I think that shy people are the best speakers,
and the best type of people to be in front of other people.
Their humility and moments of shyness are something beautiful.
They are not proud.
Their shyness is their best weapon because their easily influence people.
You can think of 1000 similar examples.
Of course, I don't mention sins.
Because you may think that if you have some sins,
you can try them out, touch them and maybe accept them.
No. No deals with evil.
No intimacy, no cuddling with evil because it will bring more evil.
And finally, the sea anemone will eat you when you are so close with evil,
But, your weaknesses, your fears, places that seem to be your flaws,
perhaps most of them can be useful to you.
Use them just like clownfish use sea anemones.
So something that makes you scared, later on it will be your friend
if you tackle it step-by-step.
Which Biblical sentence shows us the issue?
There is one amazing quotation in the Book of Isaiah,
I know it's connected to something different,
but for me it matches the story of a clownfish and a sea anemone.
In chapter 11 Isaiah writes:
"The wolf will live with the lamb, the panther lie down with the kid,
calf, lion and fat-stock beast together,
with a little boy to lead them."
This is exactly what I wanted to say.
Two contrary realities, can cooperate together.
Moreover, one can protect the other.
One can use the other to something good.
Try to think, today, where do you have such places,
where are those sea anemones you are afraid of
because they can start defending you, become your advantage.
Remember: "The wolf will live with the lamb, the panther lie down with the kid,
calf, lion and fat-stock beast together,
Have that quotation from The Book of Isaiah in your heart today.
And let us be like a clownfish, which is close to his sea anemone.
"The wolf will live with the lamb, the panther lie down with the kid,
calf, lion and fat-stock beast together, with a little boy to lead them."
Put a fragment of the film somewhere.
-Can I?' - Why not?
- Put it. - Okay
There must be somebody here, it's the ocean after all, look...
