This video shows how to load paper into HP LaserJet M701, M706,
and LaserJet Pro MFP M435 printers.
To load Letter, A4, or smaller sized paper, follow these steps.
Make sure that the tray is not in use.
Pull the tray out and lift up slightly to remove it completely from the printer.
Pinch the release that is located on the left side
and slide the side guides to the correct paper size.
Slide the rear guide so that the pointer matches the paper size that you are loading.
Using A4 paper as an example, load paper with the long edge leading into the tray.
Make sure the guides lightly touch the stack, but not so tightly that they bend the paper.
To prevent jams, do not overfill the tray.
Be sure the top of the stack is below the tray full indicator.
Slide the tray completely into the printer.
To load longer paper, follow these steps.
Be sure that the tray is not in use.
Pull the tray out and lift up slightly to remove it completely from the printer.
Pinch the release that is located on the left guide
and slide the side guides to the correct paper size.
Slide the lock lever on the back of the tray into the unlocked position.
Extend the rear section of the tray to fit the media that you are loading.
Slide the rear guide so that the pointer matches the correct paper size.
Using A3 paper as an example, load paper with the short edge leading into the tray.
Make sure the guides lightly touch the stack, but not so tightly that they bend the paper.
To prevent jams, do not overfill the tray.
Be sure the top of the stack is below the tray full indicator.
Slide the tray completely into the printer.
To load different sizes of paper, refer to the following graphics.
Load paper into Tray 2 and Tray 3 in a similar manner.
