World-renowned stage hypnotist Dr Scott Lewis has died after apparently falling from the
balcony of a block of flats in Australia. The American was in Sydney with other performers
for a series of shows called the Illusionists 2.0. He is believed to have been found on
a fourth-floor balcony after falling from his 11th storey apartment.
We heard from a woman that she saw a guy fall onto the balcony below her, there was blood
everywhere.
Yeah, she was really shaken up so it was, it didn't sound good.
Dr Lewis and his fellow performers were lined up for an eight-day run at Sydney's iconic
Opera House. A matinee performance has been cancelled with the evening show being dedicated
to Dr Lewis. Officials at the venue described him as "a wonderful performer", who would
be "greatly missed". Tim Lawson, co-producer of the show said the company was "deeply saddened
by the sudden loss". Sydney police said the body had yet to be formally identified and
that specialist forensic officers and detectives were investigating the death. Dr Lewis was
well-known for his television performances and for his solo hypnosis show which ran for
a record-breaking nine years in Las Vegas.
