When we journey out into the world, we are not Romas. It's a side you try to hide, to avoid prejudice.
Once I was at work, and told them I was Roma. Someone said: "So you're a thief". That can make be really mad, but also really sad. I shouldn't have told them, because if something does get stolen, all eyes are on me. More prejudice.
Prejudice is hard to abolish. Really hard. That's why it's important to prove that there is more to Romas. They are better than that. Even though people talk.
