- Nigeria News: Violence in Nigeria -
In the House of Assembly there is violence, in the Federal government you can find violence, even in school or when people come together there's still violence
It's like violence is one of our cultures.
The violence in Nigeria is very bad because in our country . We don't have security, we don't ask questions before jumping to conclusions like in Port Harcourt recently...
... four innocent boys from Aluu killed for nothing...
The issue of cultism these days is also scary because these days I can't stay in school for long
It's so pathetic - the soldiers are there, the police are there, the bomb squad are there and yet we are seeing kidnappers and bombs
I feel bad, so sad, that things like this happen on a daily basis - it used to be a yearly thing but now it's becoming a daily thing. You hear of violence too often
As a parent it's scary - I think something should be done especially by the security agencies
I don't know if its awareness or information and intelligence gathering but they should do a whole lot to stop the violence, mob action and rest of it
As a parent, it's scary. God forbid we have any occurrence
I do not feel good. Like the four student - I heard one of the mothers only had one son, so as a parent too, I wouldn't want to suffer so much...
I feel very bad because if I'm one of the victims - it's very bad, very bad.
The government is not taking it seriously - if you go to the Western countries - you can't just kill citizens anyhow but here in Nigeria the government is just there for their own selfish interests, not the people.
I feel very sad - we are trying to portray ourselves as a peace loving nation but these things are on the internet and you can't says 'this is who we are'
We have not been able to address the issue so when people are committing crime and they're getting away with it - others will be encouraged
The rate of death now is increasing because the security is, not that they're not doing their job, but I think they should work more on security...
... we're losing more lives and they're no taking it seriously. We expect them to take charge but they not.
The killing of the four guys in Port Harcourt - I read that police were even present at that place, with only the excuse that they didn't have enough bullets in their gun...
I would keep saying - if they fired two shots in the air, they could have saved those peoples lives
Even in the family, that is where violence start - you will see fathers & mothers fighting themselves. I tell you the children are there watching - and this is where violence in Nigeria starts. If the family is at peace then the country is at peace.
