A summer afternoon.

A hypodermic of *** in her hand.
The old Mrs. Hopkins is a slave to alcohol.
The five year old Mary appears. She drags a dead mouse behind her.
This goes on for years.
Five year old Mary returns again. She drags a dead cat behind her.
Now Robert enters. He's just arrived from Paris
Artist.
Mary drags a dead rat across the stage.
I hear... the trumpet of optimism.

I've still got the energy to start again!
