My dear russians, I am a russian speaking
citizen of Kharkov's region, Ukraine,
turning to you with a request for help. My name is Ann Gerashchenko.
For many years I write books, children books, in russian,
which are published in Kharkov's and also in Moscow's publishing houses.
In addition to this I participate in volunteering, together with
my friends and similar thinkers, we help many boarding schools
for sick children, and also in homes for the elderly.
We create there creational workshops and houses for autonomous living
for children and adults with limited abilities.
Together with this, in my village, in which
lives 90% ethnic Russians, and where my parents live,
we create children playgrounds,
using our working abilities, we install containers for sorted garbege.
Teaching children to treat nature with care
by making various ecological festivals and hollidays.
A trouble came into my house and I ask you for help. The thing is
that for long days we can't fully work,
help, live, and
take care of the teaching of our kids, because
we are afraid of you. We are afraid of your brotherly help, in which we are totally not in need.
You can disbelieve me, not believe
that nobody in the state of Ukraine
doesn't forbid me to talk in Russian, write books in Russian and think in Russian
But if you have a developed imagination
I ask you just to imagine that you are a father and mother
grandmothers and grandfathers. Living and hearing everyday that
News channels of the neighbour country
telling that you are, by being in your own territory,
are being in danger by Escimo terrorists
which are forcing you to eat raw fish
Together with that, you have a mobile connection, and friends, among Eskomo's, and you call them and ask
"Tell me as a friend, is it true that you are organized in gangs that would come,
to kill me for me not wanting to eat raw fish"
and your Eskimo friend and you laugh, understanding the absurdity of the question
Imagine that this savior country,
starts to come to your city with busses full of men
with glassy eyes, and with steel pipes in their hands
and this men run in the main square of your city
for killing Eskomo's that are forcing you to
eat raw fish. And after that they
put their country's flag above state institution of your state.
If you think that by moving in soldiers
of a near state, there is nothing scary in that. And talking about
that nobody would fire at peaceful civilians, just close your eyes
and imagine an armored troop-carrier, standing right to your house
imagine soldiers with guns over their backs, which would
go near the school where your kids would go to study. Hear somewhere a gun rapid fire
someones shouts and moans, curses in Eskimo language
of which your kid wakes up, and whom you can't calm down
How would you perceive a by passer that comes to you with a gun
and tells you that he wants to see it as his duty,
to defend you from the Eskimo, that hides somewhere nearby
who forces you to eat raw fish. Ofcourse
you would think that he is crazy. You have to understand that already for
several days, my whole country, doesn't sleep, doesn't work
and doesn't take care of its children
doesn't live a peaceful life, because it waits for an army of crazy men, with guns
who would come to defend us from
Eskimo, who try to force us to eat raw fish.
Imagine to yourself all our desperation, because we can't bring
to you the actual picture that we see and know
