PB Teen Project Green Prom
Hi I'm Carly, Hi I'm Erin and we are here today for the launch of Project Green Prom here at the village in Corte Madera.
Project Green Prom is an initiative geared at getting teens to think about how they can be more sustainable for prom.
On our Project Green Prom website which is http://projectgreenprom.com You can find out about how to go green in every aspect of your prom. Beauty, fashion, decor and transportation. We have it all broken down and here in our shop you can do the same.
We have cosmetics and personal care products that are free of carcinogens, reproductive toxins, neurotoxins anything so you can be sure what you are putting on your skin is good for you and the environment.
You can get dresses like the ones we're in. I'm wearing vintage and Carly is wearing a designer that is transitioning to go more green using sustainable materials.
Also thinking about how to get to prom maybe instead of taking a big limo, you can take a hybrid car.
or car pool or take public transportation even walk.
When you get to the prom itself. Are you using recycled cardboard and then thinking about after prom the waste. So having recycling bins, composting and really being aware of the footprint your prom is leaving.
Also here in our store we have an amazing Pottery Barn Teen Lounge where we are gonna have live music and a coffee house for teens of the community can hang out.
We are proud to be partnering with PB Teen and showing girls that your dorm room, your house, your hangout spot anything in your life can be more sustainable.
We would love for you to start a chapter where ever you are there are girls who are involved across the country across the world. All of our information is on our website www.teensturninggreen.org
