Welcome to another special of Reptil.TV.
You won't believe what was going on here, after our special with our two headed star. Newspapers and TV shows, everybody wanted to see him.
That's what we'll show you today.
We really had to find a name for our two stars.
You voted for a name on facebook. Thank you for participating.
In the end, we had a clear result: Monty & Python!
The media hype was huge - bigger than we anticipated.
First we had dpa, then REUTERS. TV channels such as VOX, Galileo filed a query.
Soon 'hundkatzemaus' [German TV Show] will broadcast their coverage.
Auf course we were in the German newspaper Bild. They called and wanted to know how much poisonous teeth the snake has.
I had to disappoint them. No poisonous teeth, but we did manage to get some coverage.
We really had a lot of international publicity. From Asia, Japan, China to South America, unbelievable how the news spread across the globe.
Of course, we had news coverage in the local press.
We even had to say no to some teams that wanted to film the animal, because it's too much stress for the animal and you cannot take it out each and every day.
At one time, he didn't want to eat - that was probably due to the stress.
We had to cancel an appointment with a TV channel. They were a bit upset.
There really was a huge media hype - but it was nice to see how big the interest in the animal was.
Some information on the medical or hygienic aspect.
People asked about the esophagus and the issues with eating and drinking - if both heads are physically able.
We only feed the left head. That is due to the fact that it is the only head that looks like it wants to eat.
As you can see, both heads do drink. So Monty & Python really does have two esophaguses
You probably know Dr. Wolf from 'hundkatzemaus', he examined the animal.
Dr Wolf actually is a vetinarian, he really knows his job. He examined the animal and confirmed our thesis.
Many people asked about the expectation of life. We can't say because there aren't really any experiences regarding this topic.
Up to now, the animal has turned one year old and remained healthy. I hope the animal reaches a biblical age and turns 20 - just as other Ball Pythons do.
Hard to tell in advance - but I'm an optimist.
We had a potential buyer from China - many were afraid that the Chinese want to eat him.
They wouldn't have done it. In the meantime, they are on our level regarding herpetology - our have the same interest that we have.
He would have been brought to an exhibition or a zoo.
I'm here with our two stars. Monty & Python.
I mentioned that we thought about giving the animal to China. That's how a Chinese looks like.
Of course he's not Chinese. When you hear him talk, you'll notice a slight Swiss slang.
We've got a potential buyer from Switzerland. He is the owner of a reptile zoo in Switzerland. And the animal will probably go to Switzerland, where everybody can visit it.
Please tell us something about your exhibition Marc.
In Egg - that's near Zürich - we've got a reptile zoo with about 250 to 300 reptiles that you can visit.
Various species on over 700 square meters and that's where Monty & Python, our new star, will live.
If you want to, you can look up more information on the web: www.reptilexpo.ch.
I'm really glad he'll stay in the vicinity and doesn't have to move to China. Not because I don't like Chinese or that I'm afraid they'll eat him - which they wouldn't have done.
I only need two hours to travel to Switzerland and I can vist our two cuties from time to time. And I believe I'll get a free ticket for the exhibition.
I'm really glad that everything turned out this way. If you want to see him, go and visit him in Switzerland. 42 00205:47,138 --> 00:05:50,340 Here we have our stars, Monty & Python.
They are starting to moult at the moment. The eyes are still a bit murky but are almost clear again.
They'll moult for the next two to three days.
It's nice to see how they grew. Now they'll move to Switzerland. I'm glad, that's just around the corner.
They really have a great place to stay where they'll have a great time and we can visit them any time we want.
And they will surely live long and prosperous.
The community was vibrant. Over 100,000 hits on YouTube and iTunes. People are really interested in such an animal.
That's all for today. Remember! Check my balls!
That was some drivel, am I right?
You can't see my hands? Do I have to talk with my hands like that?
Stefan: I don't know what else to say... Florian: Are you overwhelmed?
Where were we?
Come on guys, I have so much work on my desk, let's get this over with.
That was ok, we'll use that shot.
