Hi, I'm Leah Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to learn how to
make tye egg rolls. So we have some corn and we're going to go ahead and defrost. If you
have fresh corn on the cob that is in season in your area, go ahead and use that. But frozen
corn is going to do just fine and serve its purpose so I have about 3/4 of a cup we're
just going to take it and pop it in the microwave until it's defrosted. You really don't have
to worry about cooking it all the way through we just want to make sure that it's not frozen.
This is just a small amount so we'll start out with about 2 minutes on high. We don't
need to actually use the defrost setting and we'll check it after that. So we have just a few more seconds and
we'll go ahead and check it and make sure that it's defrosted through. At this point,
it shouldn't be really hot so I shouldn't be worried about handling it. The bowl is
still fine so we'll just take our spoon stir it up to make sure that it's defrosted evenly
and we'll just take a little spoon full out. Check it with our fingers make sure it pops,
it's perfectly fine not quite cooked all the way but it is definitely not frozen anymore.
That's the only thing we're worried about here. So we'll add this to the mixture that
is already in the food processor of the cilantro and the shallots. With this small amount, we really don't have
to drain it there's not a lot of water in there anyway and this will have a little water
in it.
