Hello and welcome to another Geek Tube tutorial
For this demonstration, we will be using one of many
Picasa Web Apps available called Photo Albums
This application is free and you can download it from the iOS App Store
Now if we just take a photo it will appear in the Camera Roll as usual
From here we can open up the Photo Albums application
Because it is your first time opening the application
It will show no connected accounts
To connect an account
All you need to do is press the “plus” button
At the top right of the screen and enter your Google username and password
Once this is done it will show your email address on the accounts page
If you press on your email address it will open up to a page called “albums”
This page is where you can store all your Web Albums
The application will automatically create a folder called “Desktop”
If you open this folder it will obviously be blank
But from here you can select to upload a photo from the Camera,
the Photo Library or the Camera Roll
This upload will automatically be transferred to “The Cloud” and stored safely online
For this example we will use the screen shot we took earlier
From here you can change the title and the description
Once you click the blue upload button the process is complete
And the image appears in both the iPhone application and Picasa Web Albums online
To view the image online, open Picasa and sign in with your Google email address
Once this is completed click on your Google email address and a drop down list will appear
Click the “Open Web Albums” button and Picasa will take you to your Web Albums homepage
Where you can edit, rename, organise and do much more with all of your photos
Note: That you can use Picasa to publish photo albums on websites
