Right? And when I showed
you with 18, 19 Prophets,
which Book? Say what? Quraían.
You will not say Quraían.
Why not? The Book is an
ancient Book with 19 Prophets,
I showed you. Who has
written Al-Kitab, the Book.
So say Quraían. Why canít yousay?
When you say this is the Book,
that is, this Al-Kitab is the Quraían,
why not their Quraían?
Whatís the problem?
The first I read the Quraían
and Kitab were there in one ayah.
In the first verse I read
Quraían I read Qurían
and Kitab in one ayat.
What I was trying to say?
This Quraían is the Reading,
is the confirmation of the Book,
the written one. The reading
is confirmed and the details
of the Book you come to know.
The details you are coming
to know when I am reading the ayat.
f itís written down and
kept in a shelf you will
not come to know anything.
When you read the detail
of the Book you come to
know as you are coming to know now.
You read in the Arabic,
you must focus. When I
read the Arabic, Iíll show you
in the Arabic, Al-Kitab,
AlóKitab, Al-Kitab, Al-Kitab.
Iím not changing anything.
Iím just reading as they are. ñ
in the Arabic text.
So you can confirm.
Up till now we have come
to know from these verses
that Al-Kitab was given,
one this Al-Kitab.
The People of the Book
will come later.
But we know for sure,
we know for sure,
the first Ahlal Kitab People
of the Book would be ñ who? Prophets.
First the Prophets were given this Book.
Right? All these Prophets I named ,
to these Prophets, they
are the first of Al-Kitab.
The Book was given to them.
How could you say the Book
was given to the Jews
and the Christians?
The Book was given to
the Prophets by name.
Moosa (pbuh) got the Book,
Essa (pbuh) got the Book,
Ibraheem (pbuh got the Book,
Nuh (pbuh) got the Book.
I read it. Every Prophet
that II read got the Book.
So they are the Prophets.
So Family of the Book,
the first people,
the messengers are the first
People who got the Book.
Thatís the first people.
Now we will see how Allah
explains that this Book
was about us also. .
So in the next stage,
Without doubt We have revealed to you
mankind ñ it is referring to mankind -
we have revealed to you a Book.
And your remembrance or you are
mentioned in it. Your
remembrance is in it.
In Urdu, isme tumhara zikr hai.
You are mentioned in it.
Or your remembrance
is mentioned in it.
So now if you look in the world,
everyone has got the
tendency to know about
his past from somebody else.
Can you tell me my past?
Ormy present? And what
is about my future?
By palmistry, by astrology.
Byr astronomy. There are manyÖ
You want to know what is my past.
And what is my present?
What is my future.
And then you are very
surprised that how this
gentleman tells you.. Is that not?
So why notÖAllah is saying
Arabic
Without doubt we have revealed
to you a Book,
Arabic
you are mentioned in it.
So find out in this Book
what you are mentioned in it ñ
your past, your present
and your future. In this Book,
the true mentioning is your
personalityís described within the Book.
You past tense is also mentioned.
Your present tense is also mentioned.
Your future is also mentioned.
You have to find out.
So now how Allah explains,
Iwill not go into very big detail.
Just I would like to highlight
that Allah mentions mankind
in these titles. Like, for example,
Itís mentioned in the
Quraían one time.
Allah addresses to the soul
or to the self or to the psyche
of the human being.
It doesnít address to
the body of a man.
It addresses to your psyche,
your soul, your nafsiyat, nafs.
The word nafs in Urdu is nafsiyat.
Arabic mafs means your
psyche or your soul.
Allah says
Arabic
O soul, self, psyche.
So Allah is addressing to the soul
of a human being, the self
of a person is mentioned.
So you know your psyche
is mentioned. So if you read
the ayahs, the description
of you is mentioned.
Further it says
Arabic
He addresses you:
the mankind! It is mentioned 16 times.
Meaning.
Arabic
It mentions And it says,
it gives you a message.
O mankind. Allah is
communicating to mankind direct.
O mankind
Arabic
O psyche.
He is addressing to you,
talking to you directly.,
So it says, O you Means
who think theyíve got the spirit of Allah.
Allah Allah is addressing to them.
He is talking to you.
Mentioned number of time,
Iím giving you one reference.
Meaning that is mentioned 88 times.
Why I am trying to
emphasize the time factor,
the number of times,
is so much described is
mentioned in the Book.
So if you are a believer,
if you believe on the ayaat,
Allah is addressing to you.
Arabic
O you who believe, fasting
is written over you as it
was written over you before
you so that you guard yourselves.
So now, O you who believe,
fasting is prescribed to you.
So we fast. We want to
become believers. So there are
many orders. By mentioning
Arabic
and it gives a message.
So you hold to it. So if you
íre following or not following thatís
your present and past ñ
and your future also.
If youíre not following,
what will be happen to you? Fire.
If youíre following, what
will happen to you? Garden.
So at this moment,
at this very moment,
when I will recite further,
I will describe human being,
you can analyze yourself today.
Because everyone wants to
know about the past and the present
and the future. So you analyze
where I am standing. What is
the description of the ayats
when I read you can analyze
your own self. Where do you stand?
Itís describing you very clearly.
As so many descriptionsÖ
Iím telling you how he
describes to mankind.
And this is our topic
This is the topic.
So Ahl-al-Kitab, Allah is
addressing through the
People of the Book.
If you note when I was reading
There is only one addresy with the people of the book
The addresi is
Arabic
Is discribing that
O you who believe.
Or He addresses mankind.
He talks to all of mankind,
regardless of the way in
which people think of themselves.
He is addressing them.
Then He says
Arabic
Here He is addressing the Believers,
those who practice Islam.
And He is addressing only the believers.
Then when He says
Arabic
O people of the Book!,
then it is referring to
the family of the Book,
this Book. .
You can write down here
for mankind
Now Allah is describing the mankind.
Before I read He was
addressing the mankind
Here He is describing people.
Arabic
Our mentioning (our zikr is)
is mentioned. What he say?.
You are a better nation that
has been taken out for mankind.
We know it is
referring to the believers.
Not all mankind. It is
referring to the believers.
You are a better nation that
has been taken for mankind.
And that behavior is described;
you order what is acknowledged
or known and you forbid
what is disguised, hidden.
And you believe with Allah.
And in the Arabic, if you look,
it says
Arabic
And there you see
the And I have noticed mostly
people will read this ayat
and stop it here. People will notÖ
the whole ayat. It gets
complete further.
But they stop here and say
Arabic
And they stop. Referring that, you Muslims
or referring to you as believers
are the better people Allah
has taken out for mankind.
You order what is acknowledged
or what is right or what is known.
You acknowledge that.
And you forbid about disguise.
And you believe with Allah.
And stop. And then he gives sermons,
whatever he wants to.
Now if you read further,
the catch is there
Who are the People of the Book?
Further if you see If the
Arabic
If the People of the Book believed
definitely it is better for them
Arabic
This means, among them
are believers
Arabic
and the majority are liberals, the majority
are the liberals. Majority
of them are liberals.
Fasiqun means liberals.
So first of all we understand
from this ayat that among
the People of the
Book are mominun,
are the believers.
The People of the Book,
now we are trying to understand
who are the People of the Book.
Normally we know itís the
Jews and the Christians.
But from here we come to know
Arabic
If the People of the
Book believed, it would have
been better for them
Arabic
Among the People of the Book
are believers
Arabic
And the majority are fasiq or liberals.
The liberal means a person
who take the liberty or
the freedom of the orders of Allah,
the dos and donts.
Like, Allah says, establish the salah.
You read an ayah,
you come to know, establish the salah.
I take the liberty of not
practicing it. I am a liberal person.
I know the Quraíanic ayaat,
I understand the ayaat but
I take the liberty of not practicing it.
I am a liberal. That is why
Allah says they are the fasiq.
The majority of the People
of the Book are fasiq.
So you must describe,
you have to find out
your present and past
and whatís going on in present.
So it says there are among
the People of the Book are
believers and the majority are fasiqs.
Fassiq means liberals
who take the liberty
of not practicing the dos and donts,
the orders of Allah mentioned in the Book.
They donít practice.
They know it, the come
to know by the ayat of
the Quraían but they donít practice.
So majority are liberals among
the People of the Book
and the minority are the believers.
Believers among the People of the Book.
These two groups have
evolved from the ayaat. Two groups.
One are the believers,
theother are the liberals.
So first I will describe or
Allah describe in the ayaat
about the believers of
the People of the Book.
What are their behavior?
And then we will see what
the liberalsí behavior is
from the People of the Book.
The People of the Book
contain both people -
liberals and believers.
First we will discuss the
behavior of the believers ñ
among the People of the Book.
Now from the People of the
Book Allah says not everybody
are equal or alike. Theyíre
varying There are two types
ofpeople. One is this described in this ayah ñ
there is an ummat or a
nation that stands, the description
of the People of the Book
who are believers.
They are a nation that stands,
recites the ayats of Allah.
Among the People of the Book,,
who are believers are reciting
the ayaats of Allah in the
portions of the night
and they prostrate.
Who are these people?
Are these Jews and Christians?
Who are these? Believers.
They recite the ayats of Allah ñ
People of the Book. Remember.
I am referring to
Arabic
Among the People of the Book
are believers so first we
will discuss the believersí
personality amd then majority
are the liberals. So we will
analyze first the believers.
So the behavior of the believers
is, they stand, recite the ayats
of Allah among the believers
of the People of the Book.
They recite the ayats of Allah
during the night and they prostrate.
We know that this is the
behavior of the believers.
And you identify yourself.
This is your present.
And it was the past of
the people also.
Further it says
So in this ayat,
they are the believers
among the People of the Book.
The believers, they believe
with Allah, number one,
they believe in the Last Day,
number two, they order
what is acknowledged and
forbid what is disguised.
And they hasten in good works.
They are ready to do good works.
And they are who correct themselves.
They come to know the ayat,
they correct themselves.
They know that we were
doing wrong, now they
correct themselves.
So this is the behavior
of the believers among
the People of the Book.,
the behavior of the People
of the Book, believers.
Itís the behavior of those people.
Here I would like
another to emphasize.
Arabic
They order which is
acknowledged and forbid
what is disguised.
You see what is disguised is,
the People of the Book,
they order what is acknowledged.
For example, Quraían is
acknowledged all over the world.
If you recite the ayahs to
any person of the world,
any I am talking, any human being,
whether he labels himself a Jew,
he labels himself a Christian,
he labels himself a
Hindu or a Buddhist,
any label you caring, you
recite the ayahs to him
and, believe me, he will
acknowledge. He will
said this is right ñ
as a Jew he will say,
as a Christian he will say,
as a Buddhist he will say.
And I have been talking
to these people,
all these people,
almost all. . They
always listen to that
and they say this is right.
No one in my lifetime has
said this is wrong. No one in my lifetime.
They acknowledge. So the is Allahís
ayat in the Quraían. So they order
which is maroof, which is acknowledged.
The Quraían is acknowledged
all over the world - by all
mankind of all times.
If you refer to an ayat
with understanding with the essence,
with the spirit of Allah,
the ayaat, not just read
like youíre not even
understanding yourself.
By understanding if you
show to everybody he
will acknowledge it.
This is Allahís and this is right.
And what is ëdisguisedí?
They forbid about that.
ëDisguisedí is something
which is not true ñ
and youíre disguising as true.
So they forbid and
they donít talk about it.
Anything that is in the
name of religion, is good
or right or acknowledgeable,
showing like that but it
is not acknowledgeable.
That is basically disguised,
appears to be like Bible
is the Book of God ñis disguised.
It is not book of Allah.
So they forbid about it..
They do not talk about
those things which are
not to be acknowledged.
If the people stands
up and like, for example,
if I show certain verses
of the Bible contradictory
to any human being,
he will say: so what,
I donít believe this.
But there are portion
of the Bible is acknowledgeable.
But if you show the same
person the Quraíanic ayat,
he will acknowledge it.
So if you show somebody
wrong in the books, in their
books something wrong,
he will say: so this is all right,
this is wrong but there
are other things that are good also.
So take the good ones.
So Allah says: they forbid
about the disguised.
That disguised should
not be discussed. It doesnít,
will not give you betterment
except sometime in comparison.
But, generall speaking,
you must always as Mohammed (pbuh)
did not refer to any other
Book except the Quraían because
that was acknowledgeable to the Jews,
to the Christians, to the non-Muslims,
to the atheists. And this Quraían
is to be propagated and discussed
because everybody acknowledges this Book.
So
Arabic .
is not just good things
They are ayaat of Allah.
Generally saying, you say
good and bad. No, no, no, no.
You acknowledge. Because nobody
can dispute on the ayats of Allah,
in my lifetime. If you know the essence,
if you know what the Book is.
If you present to anybody
he will say this is all right.
I agree. Then he will say:
I am being programmed.
My father and grandfather told
me thisÖBut he will
acknowledge the ayat.
He will never say this is wrong.
I am talking all kinds of
people of the world.
Butif you know how to present it.
is acknowledging the Book of God.
So if your present is the Quraíanic ayaat.
The Quraían, Kitab is the maroof.
Itís acknowledged all over the world.
Now this was the behavior
Arabic
People of the Book Iíve just dealt
few ayahs about the believers
because they are little.
Majority are fasiqun, the liberals.
So that is why the other ayahs,
Allah has also mentioned
in the Quraían, most of the ayats
are about the liberals, in the
Quraíanic ayats which are fasiq.
So now Iíll be reading those
ayahs who are not believers
among the People of the Book,
who are basically the liberals, the fasiqs.
So I have discussed, among
them are believers.
We have discussed the
behavior of the believers.
Now here Allah is describing
the behavior of the fasiqs.
And what Allah says that
Allah took a covenant to the
People of the Book.
Arabic
to whom
the Book was given. The Book
is given to the people.
And Allah took a covenant
that you will clarify for mankind.
You will talk about the ayahs to mankind,
clarify the message to mankind.
Arabic
And they hide it. You will clarify
for man and you will not,
you will not hide it,
but they hide it, hide it
and threw it back and
purchased with a little price,
so they made a bad bargain.
So this is the behavior of those
people who are not believers.
Among the People of the Book
are believers and majority are fasiqs,
the liberals. So Allah took
the covenant with the
People of the Book.
The People of the Book
are just people but who
are believers, thatís a
character trait. So we have
read itís a character
trait of the believers.
And these are the people whoÖ.
Allah says they were,
Allah took the covenant
with the People of the Book
who were given the Book,
that you will clarify
to mankind ñ the Book.
And you will nit hide it.
And they are hiding it and
they threw it back,
behind their back, the Book.
That means, you will think
heís a person whoís a
People of the Book.
Heís talking about the Quraían.
I should go and ask him.
But that Book is thrown
behind his back.
Heís talking something else
in the name of the Book.
In the name of the Book,
heís talking something else.
You think heís a learned man,
you should go and ask him
but h has thrown this Book
behind his back.
Heís talking something else.
You think itís the Book of God.
You must understand what
Allah is telling you.
Allah took the covenant that
you will clarify for
mankind the Book.
Clarify mankind there is
one only one Book with all the Prophets.
Ifit is not clarified,
that means they have thrown
it behind their backs. No?
If it is not being clarified
to mankind there were eighteen,
nineteen Prophets got the Book
and this Book was given to
Mohamed (pbuh) again and
this is not clarified, it is hidden.
People are hiding it.
So they threw it back.,
behind their backs.
You can prove, you can find out today,
you can verify that masses
of the people do not know
that the Book is the same Book.,
given to all the Prophets.
And now the covenant was
that you will clarify.
Which, who people
are having this Book?
The People of the Book.
They are not the believers,
they are the People of the Book,
the liberals, taking the liberty of
saying anything but they are hiding
the message and Allah asks them to
clarify for mankind. They are hiding it.
So they are hiding it till today.
You can see for that. So they are the liberals.
They are taking the advantage of being the
People of the Book and not saying anything.
Hiding the Book and saying something which
is not in the Book, inthename of the Book,
Quraían. So now, so why
Allah sent messenger, Mohammed (pbuh)
in the further ayat, Page 20.
(that is referring to Mohammed, Rasoolillah)
( (to the People of the Book).
Now Allah is addressing to the
People of the Book
Arabic
So to the
People of the Book
Arabic
to them,
to the People of the Book came
our messenger, Mohammed Rasoolullah
He clarifies for you.
What he was clarifying?
What people were hiding
from the Book.
Arabic
Majority most of them
Arabic
from what you hide it.
You are concealing from the Book.
From the Book.
So these people from that
time till today and itís going on.
In all times,
people are hiding from the Book.
They are not reciting what is in the Book.
All time Mohammed Rasoolillah through,
we come to know the ayaat,
that this is whatís going on.
So Allah sent Mohammed Rasoolullah to the
People of the Book so that
he clarified for them
what these people were
concealing from the Book.
