Hi.
I'm Jeff, and I'm a consumer experience
specialist at Google.
Today I am going to teach you how to remove an image from
Google Image search results.
Google Images is not the source of the images in our
search results.
Instead it crawls the web for images to include on the
results page.
The best way to have an image removed from Google Image
search results is to have it removed from the site on which
it's hosted.
If you own the site, you can remove the image from the site
yourself, or use robots.txt to block Google from
crawling the image.
If you don't, you can contact the image's webmaster, and ask
them to remove the image from their site.
Then, once the webmaster has made the changes, the picture
will fall out of Google Image search results the next time
we crawl and reprocess the page.
You can expedite this removal process using the Google web
page removal tool, which you'll find in either the
Images or Web Search help centers.
In certain cases, such as if an image is infringing your
copyright, you can submit a removal request through our
help removal process.
Finally, remember to be patient.
It can take some time to remove images from our index.
However, by following these steps, you'll be more likely
to get your image removed from Google Images.
