What's going down everybody? I'm Peter Moelle of Fairgrounds Wine and Spirits in Danbury,
CT and this is FairgroundsTV...Happy Friday everyone. Today for our little beer Friday,
Frothy Friday let's call it we have a cider. I believe it's 6., yep, it's 6.9 percent alcohol
from woodchuck. It's what they're saying is like a throwback to the original woodchuck
cider. It's called Original '91 because that's when Woodchuck was founded in 1991. Not much
carbonation to speak of actually at all. None. There is nothing to this. It's very light,
light slight yellow with very very tiny carbonation. Let's check it out. Wow, I'm getting a lot
of pear. I'm getting a slight apple. Slight strawberry. Let's give it a taste. Very light,
light carbonation. It's almost like a pear more than apple. There's not much of a mouthfeel.
The flavors is lingering on my tongue a little bit. it's very dry. It's got a slight funk
to it. There's yeast to it, but it's got some funk. Of the cider's I've had, this is very
interesting. If this is where they started then they have made leaps and bounds from
where day one was. Everything that they have now is a little more carbonated, a little
more full-flavored. This is very light, dry, peary apple. You know, effervescent if you
will more than carbonated. It's decent. It's 6.9% so ya know, what the hell, it's like
apple juice. What the heck? *laughs awkwardly* If you want to check it out, see where Woodchuck
started you'll definitely see where they've come in all these years but if you're already
into their other ciders and you really don't care, then, uh, don't worry about it. *laughs
haughtily* That's my opinion. Well, have a great weekend and enjoy your Friday. We'll
see ya next week with a wine and a beer and the beers are getting more interesting and
the wines are getting more interesting so keep us in mind. Let us know what you want
to see from us. We'd love to hear from ya and take it easy.
