I recomend some other channels for halloween at the beginning and describe my idea for this method.
My advice is not to use white foundation - it's quite expencive to use it once a year for a costume...
... but to use MINERAL FOUNDATION for several reasons. I am going to explain...
Start with cleansing the face. I prefer to do this on demand because a just mosturized face works well with mmu.
Please do not wonder - this is a funny video aswell.
Now apply your favorite moisturizer and give it one minute to set. But we want to be the skin a bit greasy though.
So the most important tool is a TOO LIGHT mineral makeup - I used EVERYDAY MINERALS. It has to be lighter than his skin - as much as possible!
Many mineral retailers offer samples for $2.00 - buy the lightest and it will last you several halloweens.
I prefer to use a kabuki, but a flat top buffer brush will work well too.
I hope you can already see, that he looks lighter - but in a very, very, natural, subtle way.
Another benefit of MMU is, that it makes your skin look more flawless and even. (If you have dry skin it might be the wrong product for everyday use)
The benefit for the guys is, that it's very easy to apply around the beard hair and it doesn't cake here. It's still seamless!
He asked, if he already looks dead :-D
An optional step is to use a product called PERKED ME UP, which is a concealing highlighter. A white powder that reflects the light.
An important step for looking dead is to make him look skinny and "low fat" - he needs contours.
With a fluffy brush (mine is by Sonya Kashuk) I applied a matte grey eyeshadow...
... only wth a light hand into the inner part around the eyes and on the side of the nose. Work just below the brow.
With a stippling brush I used the same product on the temples. Blend well!
AND finally the cheek bones. Try to make them precise and quite thin but not too edgy - blend well and use his original shape.
With an angled brush I also defined his brows to make him look more angry.
Try to create a line from the edge we created on the nose bridge to the brows.
I also used some brown contouring powder to make the front look a bit less wide.
And some nude lipstick to make his lips even and bit more natural.
Finally I added some of the eyeshadow on the outer part of the eye quite near the lashes.
FINISHED!
The essential reason choosing MMU is, that it reflects light in a iredescent way - so if you make pictures with flashlights....
I will show you an exsample in a few seconds (switch to 9:10:00)... The second reason for MMU is the very natural finish.
