Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you my tips and techniques
to saddle your horse with the western saddle. So now that we have curry and we have loosen
any dirt or sweat that might be encrusted in her fur. We are going to take our stiff
bristle brush here and we are going to remover anything that we may have loosen. So we are
just going to do it in short flicking motions. This would get deeper down into the fur, get
anything off that we have loosened. I'm going to go down her leg here. Put my hand on her
shoulder just so she knows that I'm going down her leg. Short flicking motions. Put
my hand to let her know that I'm headed to her behind and her so I don't startle her.
I would never want her to startle me and kick. Keep my hand on her rump here so she would
know that I'm going to go down her back leg so I would not startle her. I'm going to walk
behind her again enough so she would not be able to kick me if something would scare her.
Walk back to her just give her a little pat let her know that I'm here. So we are going
to start on the neck, short flicking motions. Put my hand on her shoulder go down the leg.
Let her know that I'm there. Put my hand on her rump here and let her know that I'm going
to brush her rump and go back down the leg. When we are done, we would walk around her
enough distance away so you don't get kicked and that is how you want to brush your horse.
