We'd like to show you now is how to centre mount an image, which is to have a bevel mount
over the top of it. What we've done here is using the half or back of the frame, we've
coated up the board again with a double sided mounting film; pre-coated it through the roller
laminator. We then position the bevel mount. Line it
up with the backing board. Taking a pencil, we can mark each corner onto the release liner
so that we can see where our marks are. Taking a ruler, score through the release liner all
the way across the top line. We can then fold back this release liner, again putting a heavy
crease in there. Taking our image, on this occasion, it's a certificate, so we'll just
clean the back of the print. Line it up with our marks on the release liner.
Smooth it down. Now what we'll do is just score around the print or the certificate
so that the release liner that we are going to take away is directly under the print.
Fold back the start of the release liners. Into the rollers. Once again, we've already
got it pre-set for this thickness of board. Catch the first inch of print into the rollers.
The print goes over the top. Take the release liner away.
The next stage of this process is to bond the bevel mount onto the hardboard backing.
To do this, remove all the excess release liner away from the adhesive. You can notice
that the adhesive is onto the hardboard. A good way of doing this is to line them up
at the bottom and bring the two items together. Hand pressure to adhere the bevel mount is
enough, but for extra security, we can adjust the height of the rollers again and send both
of these back through.
