Hi and welcome to AC News! Here’s today’s video clip, movie news are coming up!
Drafthouse Films has acquired the rights to Wake In Fright,
the classic Australian thriller that won the Palm D'or at Cannes Festival in 1971.
Directed by Ted Kotcheff, the movie is one of two films shown twice
in the history of the festival: the second time it was 2009 by courtesy of guest curator Martin Scorsese.
The movie always had very good critiques, Nick Cave described it has:
“the best and most terrifying film about Australian in existence.”
Believed lost, Wake In Fright was restored after a decade of search frame by frame
at Sydney At Lab Deluxe. Coming to theatres October 5th 2012.
