Last night we introduced you to Eva Lois. Now she's a Millwaukie women who was tricked
by two men who said that they would consolidate her loans, but they ended up cheating her
out of $400 dollars. You know, I'm crying and carrying on and I'm trying to explain
to him that you can't do this to me. You've taken all of my money. This is what I have
to live off of. Well tonight we have some very good news from some very good people.
A well known financial adviser in Portland stepped up to help this woman out. Ron Sloy
says that when he saw our story on Friday, he immediately felt the need to make things
right. He TIVO's the news cast and he woke up his wife to tell her about it. Shantel
Sloy: I actually fell asleep early and he woke me up and said you have to watch this
lady. She's absolutely amazing her names is Eva. You're not going to believe the story,
she seems so sweet. Ron Sloy: I said 'Eva, My wife and I saw your story and we want to
make something right for you.' I said 'you were trying to get a loan modification and
with all the problems with the economy and what have you, we wanted to see if we could
put a smile on your face.' And with that we helped her out a little bit. What an amazing
story. Ron is a good friend of KOIN, he is not saying how much he helped her out but
we talked to Eva and she says she's simply very grateful.
