My name is Osmani García.
I'm Cuban, and terribly addicted to music.
I was born on 22 May 1981...
I come from a poor, but very loving family.
who taught me how to be happy even though we had no money.
Since I was five, I was in the choir, the children's choir.
We sang Mexican songs by Los Tigres del Norte.
I sang these songs with the people from my neighbourhood.
Then when I went to preschool, I would sing all morning
because I wanted to sing Dominican and Puertorican songs.
I like making all kinds of music: merengue, reggaeton...
My music is bold.
I really like making versions,
and trying to improve the originals.
My life begins on stage, from 12 to 1.30 in the morning.
We go back to La Habana if we're close by,
and we record, we create...
And they come back for more, and to sing...
and so on.
When we're not recording we're making videos.
We never have a day off.
'La fábrica de éxitos' is a collection of many people.
Who are flawed, just like anyone.
But these are people focused on hard work.
And achieving a goal in life, and I think this is what unites us.
To achieve our dream, because we share the same dream,
we often have to neglect our own family.
and even ourselves.
You can see how it is... We're totally exhausted.
But we're happy.
And mamá del Conds coffee is the best.
We're in DJ Conds' studio...
La fábrica de éxito as you can see is very modest.
But not everything that comes out of it is modest.
Everything that comes out of here is powerful, my friend.
Cuban young people all listen to the music made here at DJ Conds' house.
Not only what we produce together as la fábrica de éxitos,
but also the stuff produced by the artists out there in the yard.
We don't stop until we get what we want, day, night, morning...whatever hour of the day.
For us, there are no holidays.
Cuban reggaeton is currently undergoing incredible musical mutations.
I like to use a lot of drums, bells...
claves, trumpets, piano...
We're creating our own brand of reggaeton.
Which was first inspired by DJ Conds and Osmani García.
Nobody else in the World makes it.
I love it when people have a good time, when they laugh...
When they dance, lose themselves and unwind.
And when I sing, they focus on singing and dancing.
Our music is our gift because really we start to make music...
You start making music without wanting to make a dime.
It's like, you don't start making music because you want to be famous or anything.
I chose music, because music is what gives me most joy in life.
I always dreamed of singing in front of thousands of people.
Your only dream right now is for everyone to listen to you.
From Guantánamo to the Cabo de San Antonio, to Pinar del Río.
We've performed all over the island.
We are a family travelling all over Cuba together.
We're grumpy, we're tired...
But what a party there'll be!
Reggaeton is an incredibly dancey genre.
And is the hottest thing in Cuba right now.
It attracts so many thousands of people...
How could thousands of people be wrong?
It really just boils down to whether people like what you do.
You produce and offer a variety so that people will like it.
As for where I'm headed I'd love to go all over the World.
I'd love to be known by loads of people...
I'd love for my music to be remembered as the happiest, most upbeat music of our time.
The best music is the music that makes you smile.
If we live for many years, great, but if by some chance we die young...
we'll go with a smile on our faces.
Because we will have spent every second of our lives doing what made us happy.
This is what makes us happy.
