There are 12 ancient Sampraday (Sects) of Sri Vidhyaa, they are known by the names of
their founders. They are called 1. Manu. 2. Chandra. 3. Kuber. 4. Lopaa-Mudraa. 5. Kaam-Dev.
6. Aghast. 7. Agni. 8. Surya. 9. Indra. 10. Kaartike. 11. Shiva. 12. Durvaasaa.
In India in the beginning Sri Vidhyaa
was established
in 3 places Bengal or Assam (East or North-East), Kerala (South) and Kashmir (North).
Then it reached many places, I received the secret Mantra of Sri Vidhyaa of
Sri Vidhyaa from Gujarat. There
are many
schools of thoughts now a day's who teach Sri Vidhyaa.
In Bengal or
Assam
Goddess herself established and developed
this wisdom. So the devotion part and Yoni Puja/ Sadhana are dominant amongst them.
In Kerala 'Rishi' Seers established and developed this wisdom. So the ritual part is dominant
amongst them.
In Kashmir Lord Shiva established and developed this wisdom. So the knowledge and meditation part and are
dominant amongst them.
