Put simply, photo's are critical for credibility when marketing on the Internet. Think about
it..... when you use FaceBook or LinkedIn, do you
trust profiles that do not have photos.....?
No, well it's exactly the same with your website!
My name's Mark Edmunds and a "hero shot" can make a massive difference to how well your
website converts visitors into customers.
This is because people buy from people -- people they like and people they trust. So by having
the right set of pictures on your site will help to engender trust.
And yes it is true that some people won't pick up the phone because you do not fit what
they are looking for -- but that's great because it means you've also qualified out an unsuitable
prospect before they've even go in touch and wasted any of your time.
When selecting which pictures to use, simply make sure they are reasonable photos of you
and your team -- smart, tidy, professional, not overdressed and not under-dressed. Essentially
look like your clients would expect you to look.
Just whatever you do, do not use stock imagery. People will see through it and it will almost
certainly lower the trust level for you and your service.
So, what's your opinion?
Do you look for "hero shots" or photos of the people behind the business when checking
out a companies websites?
