Hi this is Becky Nunn of Nunn Design
and I'm a guest designer with Beadaholique.com. In this video I'd like to show you
what you can do with your leftover crystal clay
you've mixed it, you have 90 to 120 minutes to work with it
and then it is a marble. So let's put it to good use
I'm gonna be showing you how to make fun little beads
with the tube beads and also
how to make fun little head pins with leftover head pins
in this you will need your leftover Crystal Clay
you need some tube beads, some head pins or any kind of remnants that you might have
leftover
some cutting pliers
and some needle nose pliers. So depending on how much extra clay that you have
you can wanna pinch off about a pea-sized ball, approximately that big
to wrap around the core. I take it
and make it into like a little bit of about a snake, about
about an inch
let's check it out and then just gonna wrap it around
the edge, like the center
edge of the core, pinch off the excess if you
had a lot. Now depending on how big you want your bead to be
if you want it to be very tiny or very big you can add
or subtract clay to make it whatever way you want
once you have it like this you just gonna start to roll it around
inside of your palm and it starts to
make a round little ball
that goes out towards the edge. Is that not just the coolest darn thing?
I can't tell you how excited I was when I first did it. I was like wow
that's neat and I have
a fun little bead and take your
head pin, go ahead
slide it right through and you just let that dry
I often keep a little extra little scraps that I have
I'm constantly trimming away stuff or sometimes I'll have something that's
a little bit too bent or something
so I just put all those into a pile and then if I have
extra clay I know that this is my time to make all of my little head
pins
so you just take a small little ball. Just going to sculpt it
right onto that ends of the piece you can have it be like a little drop or you can
have it be a nice round ball
and depending on what color the crystal clay you're working with
I mean can you imagine you can have all kinds of little head pins
you can make or add accents wherever you want to
Use any of the access clay you have or
extra head pins that you have leftover or any cut wire
you can make fun little add-ons. Here's an example of the
beads and the head pins that we just made put into action
and if you'd like to see how to make a simple wire loop
like I did here, you can reference that in another Beadaholique.com
video but I also wanted to pointed out why I love to make these
sometimes where you have a lot of black in one spot
it's nice to have a balance of little splashes of color
with whatever colors you're working with. Here's an example of
using it with the copper just adding on. Here is a great example. This one is done
by Stephanie Gard Buss one of our innovation team members
and she took extra crystal clay
put seed beads to make this inside pieces of these flowers.
