This is a tough road trip naturally. Going to play Stanislaus and Chico state on the
road back to back. There is a long travel and both teams are very talented. They are
in the top tier of the league so it's just a tough road trip altogether. We didn't really
play to well, we are trying to figure out who we are and we are working on it. Basically
we had to sit down and we talked about it a little bit Saturday night after the game
at chico. We talked about making sacrifices and trying to dedicate ourselves for the next
4 weeks to make a push at it. There are great challenges ahead for us and we understand
that. We need to come together as a unit and try to make each other better and that will
pay off in the long run. I would expect us to make a little push here down the stretch.
It was nice we were 9 and 11 on the road and it was a very tiring stretch. The good thing
about it is came during Christmas Break when we were off which was nice because the students
didnt miss much school. It is going to be very nice though to play, sleep in our own
beds and come back and prepare to play again instead of all the travel so it will be very
refreshing for them. We are looking forward too it. They are playing a little better right
now they are coming together as a unit. I think they won 2 last weekend if I'm not mistaken.
They beat East Bay and Monterey. They played San Bernadinho the weekend before that and
lost by 6. So they are starting to find out who they are and they are coming together
a little bit. It will be a good test and a good challenge. What I expect from us is that
we will play hard. We will play like our backs are against the wall and we will compete at
a high level. I think I have made that clear to our guys that we will bring that this weekend
and wherever it falls off from their we will find out. But we have to do those things.
