USB Host mode
All tablet functions are done easily through the touch screen,
although some of them like text processing or design,
are facilitated significantly through the use of the keyboard or the mouse.
For this reason, tablets nowadays carry a USB port
and support a Host Mode,
so you can connect various handling or storage devices.
Some of them have the necesary USB On-The-Go cable
included in their package.
If you connect the device with the OTG cable,
the device is activated immediately and becomes ready to use.
To connect more than one device, for example keyboard or mouse,
you can use a USB hub -- preferably with external power supply.
Some sets of wireless keyboards and mice are automatically supported,
so all you have to do
is connect the USB dongle at the end of the OTG cable.
You can also connect at the OTG port storage devices, like USB flash drives,
as well as devices that incorporate strorage capacity, like digital cameras,
and view their files.
If you want to connect an external hard drive,
it is better it contains its own external power supply
and be already formatted in a file system other than NTFS.
