AGEAC Presents
Collection of Interviews by the Coordinator. General Topics on Esoterism (Vol.3)
Differences between Exoterism, Mesoterism and Esoterism
Well, the esoterism, in order to understand it
in its form and depths,
it must be defined,
and before defining it,
I want to make a difference
between three terms
that are similar but do not mean the same.
It is necessary to define what exoteric, with the letter "x", means,
what mesoteric means,
and it is necessary to define what esoteric really means.
In the exoteric is included
all what humanity does without any
spiritual nor phenomenal background.
Therefore, our daily work is exoteric.
The Olympics are exoteric.
All the ordinary human activities
have an exoteric character.
Mesoteric is all what has a part of exoterism
and a slight degree of esoterism.
Thus, for example, the Mass of a Church, no matter which Church,
is something mesoteric.
The mesoteric part is the social part of the event,
which gathers the people
and allows the sociability
among the fellowship,
and the esoteric part is very "light",
it is constituted by the rite of the Mass.
It is a public rite
that only gives an information of religious character
to the people present there,
but it does not set a pace of inner work
in order to achieve, for example, the Self-Realization.
However, the authentic esoterism, with the letter "s",
is something that leads to a goal, a serious goal,
a profound goal. Which goal?
The Self-Realization.
Esoterism is something that has a defined working method,
a guideline, a discipline
didactically and dialectically explained
which is able to produce in man or woman
the miracle of the intimate Self-Realization
or integration with the Being.
This would be the true esoterism.
