So, you’re wondering…Is using hypnosis to quit smoking safe? One word…yes. And,
I’d like to share with you how I used hypnosis with others. I actually used to smoke in the
United States Marine Corps. And I used hypnosis to help myself quit smoking. Beautiful thing,
isn’t it? So, you may be familiar with the concept of empowering beliefs and disempowering
beliefs. I wonder if you have any of the following disempowering beliefs:
• Do you feel that you will always be a smoker?
• Do you feel that you are so alone because it is so hard to quit smoking?
• Do you feel that you have to smoke to feel good?
Well, you can hold on to those disempowering beliefs. Or, you can choose more empowering
beliefs because, basically, a belief plus an action equals your results.
So, now I would like to answer what hypnosis is not, and dispel a few myths for you. First,
hypnosis is not sleep. You are actually more focused and aware than you might be in everyday
life. And you will not lose control and you are not gullible or stupid. Actually, the
smarter you are the more suggestible you are.
Lastly, did you know that you create your outcome in your life? Things that make you
go “hmmmm” and you have a choice to make. You can choose to believe that you will always
be a smoker, or you could choose to believe that hypnosis could work for you to quit smoking.
Either way, you’re right. So I wonder which road you will choose in your own life.
