Hey Klem! How was the Edu'Hack'tion #2?
Well, great!
We had a lot of fun!
We put together a half of teachers, and a half of students.
We shook it for an afternoon,
And it made...
Paris - Red Cross Headquarters
What happened ?
In a way, we turned things around.
Usually, students come to teachers with problems
and ask for help.
Here it was the opposite situation
since we were teachers with a problem
and we asked... students for help!
How to hack the teaching of mathematics?
We are here to present a project called:
The world of Mathematics!
So, the world of Mathematics
will regroup small teams of students
around a common interest
but not based on their level.
They have to solve equations,
and draw pyramides...
This project tackles the various ways of learning.
No lecturing, no reading.
Everything will be audiovisual and experiences.
With a lot of discussions.
Beforehand when you prepare the adventure with them
and then, when the other groups of students
participate in the adventure.
And does it really work ?
They dare more.
We, as teachers,
are focused on our daily constraints.
We have in mind everything that we aren't allowed to do.
Or that we don't cannot do.
Or that we wouldn't dare ourselves.
And there, the New Students gave all their ideas,
and it was up to us to see if they were applicable.
How to hack the teaching of sustainability?
And what is the tweet for Carnapack?
So the tweet for Carnapack is:
"That allies fashion, wastes and party!"
And what is the tweet?
The tweet is:
"Sustainability through cuisine!"
And what is the tweet?
So the tweet is:
"A highschool class meets a winery owner
and gives him recommandations on the 4 pilars
of sustainable development!"
And what about the Class-Tests?
Will you be doing a Class-Test?
One of the Class-Tests that were designed?
Right now, we have to let it rest and ripen
so I went back home with
all the posters, postits and texts.
I will watch the videos
once they're all done.
And I will try, based on all that,
to create a viable teaching scenario.
And then we'll see how to test it.
But it will definitely be useful!
The last word
And so the conclusion is that...
Last time we said we would succeed.
During the first Edu'Hack'tion, we said
that we had a cool project
to hack education.
And now, we're doing it!
