Silverglo has been around in excess of fifty years.
We manufacture generally out of stainless steel.
We do pressings, deep drawings, spinnings
and we do a lot of specialised work.
People bring their problems to us and we can hopefully solve them.
We also have Jomack manufacturing, which is one of our companies.
We make electrical catering equipment,
like hot water urns and pie warmers and things like that.
And Renown silverware, we do silver tableware, giftware and we also specialise in trophies.
We make the *** Plate.
We got cold called from somebody from the Richmond office -
Francesca was very nice and was helpful on the phone.
We were in a bit of a busy spurt at the time and
I had heard the murmurings that we might need to put someone on.
So I spoke to the factory manager and Francesca was great.
She shortlisted some people she thought were appropriate for the role,
we needed someone to do process type, machine operator work.
We got a few people out here one morning and interviewed them and
picked the most appropriate person for the role and he started quite soon after that
and was able to help us here for quite a few weeks.
Francesca was in contact, she popped out, she was always at the end of the phone or email.
She was very good in her backup and
anytime we had a question she was always available.
So, very good support.
I'd say don't close your mind to it.
There are many many good people who are looking for jobs and they are able to do the work.
Especially when they come with the support network such as WISE,
I would say by all means give it your attention.
People with disabilities can prove to be very good employees
and they shouldn't be overlooked.
If anyone was saying they were in need of staff I would definitely recommend WISE Employment.
They were able to assist us when we needed assistance and came through for us
with an employee and made it a very quick and easy process.
