Whether you're at a fair to network and learn about specific internships and jobs
Or just to explore some career fields You should dress professionally
For most students this means a business suit and dress shirt plus a tie for men
Absolutely no jeans, t-shirts or sneakers Your attire should be neat, clean, and professional
And it should be appropriate for the industry that you are interested in
For men wear a dark suit with white or light colored shirt and white under shirt
Make sure the suit is comfortable and fits well
Choose conservative patterns and darker colors for your ties
Shoes should be well polished and in good condition
They should also match your belt Hair should be recently cut and look neat
And be sure to shave the morning of the fair For women wear a simple dark colored suit
Skirt suits or pant suits are both acceptable Skirt suits are a bit more conservative
And skirt length should be a little below the knee and never above the knee
Wear a conservative shell or blouse under your jacket
Avoid bright colors, animal prints Or anything sheer, lacy, tight fitting or
lowcut Keep your jewelry and hair accessories to
a minimum Keep makeup and nail polish understated
And perfume should be minimal if worn at all Shoes should be conservative and fairly low
heeled No strappy sandals or platforms
Wear neutral color hose matched to your skin tone
