It means a great deal to me.
I hire Brock graduates that actually work for my company,
and I do a lot of events for the university
to help assist with getting the Brock name out to the community.
And to be recognized as one of the alumni of distinction,
helps me to go forward and promote the virtues of Brock University
to the business community,
and to help us all out with our degrees
and the reputation of the university.
I'd say, it would be difficult to narrow it down
to just one lesson, or course, or instructor.
I'm still friends with a lot of the people
that I met at the university to this day.
But, one memory in particular
actually has to do with this... this venue.
We had a... the committee that was responsible
for all the activities of the residence came here for a party.
We had a fantastic event, had a great time,
walked all the way back to the university at the time
which is a couple kilometres down the road,
and had some fun on the way,
on, on a beautiful walk, on a beautiful night,
and it was one of those things that just defined,
uh, my time here at the university.
Great location, great people, great fun, great education.
I'd say for the students, in particular,
my biggest piece of advice would be to work as hard as you play.
So, if you're gonna have a good time – that's fantastic,
then you have to work just that much harder.
And... just like Brock's program right now
of the two sides of the brain,
don't wanna just focus on
one aspect of your, of your background –
make sure you w- you're a well rounded individual,
do a lot of things, participate in a lot of events,
participate in a lot of social and recreational activities
as well as your academics.
Awed. Thankful.
Not odd – "awed."
