OK, over to the A string to learn the notes of the Dorian or minor pattern that we've
been playing. Starting with open A, B with the first finger, C with the second, we're
going to move our hand up the finger board for D with the first finger again, and E with
the fourth. So again you have that big step between D and E. Go back E, D, D to C another
big step, C to B there's our half step, and B to A. Making sure to say the note names
as you play them and practice them with your different bowings. So
again all we're doing there is combining our slurring, keeping the bow moving in one direction.
